This isn't a Joe Pickett book - it's a stand-alone about an alcoholic ex-cop, Cody Hoyt. Takes place in Yellowstone Park, Wyoming & Montana..

DUgosh list - Recommended, as always..

I put Kate Atkinson down on my request list - be about 2 weeks before I get to it. Sounds great...

A mystery of the Yucatan (1993)...

Just started it and it's not as gory as I thought it would be - about Luis Balaam, an ex-traffic cop in Yucatan - he's 5'3" and a real Maja with a nice sense of humor..Next book is called Dead Dinosaurs1994, just 2 books in this series.

This is 4th in the Bryant-May Mysteries series about the Peculiar Crimes Unit of the London Police. I enjoy this series - great characters and humorous witty dialogue.

Fourth book in Fowler's "Peculiar Crimes Unit" series about two old London detectives, Bryant and May, in their 80's. Kinda addictive.

book 67

Just started it, and George writes so well she gets me interested in something in which I'm not really interested.

Like for instance, murder because of marital problems. Somebody's husband loves somebody else, and that somebody else loves somebody who loves somebody else, etc.

Give me a good old-fashioned murder out of greed, power, war, insanity, or a combination of these things, but not unfulfilled love. But the book's just starting. Am on page 60 or so, and hopefully, some other foul motive will be revealed...
