I surely don't mean to defend this inferior intellectual, but in all fairness I think she may have been sold a bill of goods. She was presented with a proposal that appeared "too good to be true" and we all know how that one goes. It's like interviewing for a salaried position that's about $45K above your normal and standard pay grade. You figure you will either learn it quick or with your talent, can bluff it. What's so difficult?

Her egomaniacal self did not blink, and I believe that. This was just another gift from Gawd, speeded along by those glorious "laying of hands" by that weird reverend friend of hers. She would be able to shine, be on all the TeeVee shows illustrating her brilliance and building up the old guy. That would be her job, nothing to it. They told her "Yes, Sarah" we will give you a crash course, you will meet with various foreign leaders and become respected in the eyes of the world."

But alas, this was not to be. They won't let her talk to her public, they put her on these shows and ask her to answer questions she is not prepared for. Creepy old men, including McLame are leering at her, she's described as an "aphrodisiac" by one you can hardly understand. PhotoOps are all that is allowed. "I'm a Governor, fergodssake!" Nah, this is starting to become a drag, and that troopergate thing just won't go away. McLame's people are running my office and I'm on the cover of a tabloid, not in a good way. Why not the NY Times?

I don't think the woman is that dumb not to realize she is being used. As other posters have said before me, she does not look enthused or happy anymore. She was sold a bill of goods that flopped. The cold north is starting to look much better, at least there she was the "boss."

people have a horrid road ahead of them. My friend was associated with the trades here in Florida, she almost, out of necessity, applied for a job with Publix. Her resume is full and her experience is years and years of great recommendations. She was 6 months before even getting an interview, let alone a call back from anyone. My heart goes out to these people, it's going to be bad. More foreclosures, dropping of health insurance, etc.

As the mother of sons myself, this must be the icing on the cake for a son who has endured so many ups and downs. As a mother, she watched her son lose his first wife and daughter, the healing of the two grandsons. The heartache and heartbreak of these events would hit any mother to the core. The coming together and generosity of her other children to help this son to heal. You know yourselves as parents, things happen to our kids and we wish we could be the ones to take these life hits. And then the glorious meeting and marriage to Jill. Jill, such a perfect partner, smart, beautiful, funny. A help also to Barack when the education agenda needs input and a professional mark.

Mrs. Biden Sr. is not a young woman, in her 90s I believe. Seeing this son with his numerous successes, his hearbreaking losses but through it all, that wonderful Irish sense of grit and sense of humor. Mrs. Biden kissing this wonderful son goodbye this morning and a motherly pat on the back as he embarks on yet another challenge, and she's here to see it. Her heart must be so full and I am so glad she will be a part of the icing being put on the cake as her son is sworn in as the next Vice President of the United States. Good job Mrs. Biden, you did a good job.

I had received one of those anti-Obama e-mails, like we all receive from time to time. It was stupid and so easily refutable. I thanked him for "his concern" and directed him to numerous sources that refute the smears. I then encouraged him to focus his attention and concern on those "Things You Need To Know About McCain." A DUer had posted this a couple of days ago and I just knew it would come in handy.

I then sent this very polite to "Reply To All" and now the replies are coming in to him in droves. "Who is this woman?", "Doesn't sound like one of your conservative friends." The sender is a childhood friend of mine from Jersey, somewhere along the line he drank the kool-aid and has been sending me repuke garbage for a couple of years. I get the feeling his address list does not like to receive anything left-leaning. He did get advice from one of them to "BCC" his address list, etc.

It just feels so good to slam them with facts, annoy them, hit them with the truths they just do not want to hear. Poor Joe, how will he ever explain me? Oh, and thanks to the DUer who provided that wonderful McCain piece. So glad I saved it.

First off, being a woman, and an AA woman at that. I didn't have a home computer back then and after Bush was elected I tuned out. I'm wondering if there was the drama of her being AA at that time? Because she was Bush's pick it was okay? Just wondering..

having a discussion right there in Plains. Obama consulting with the "elder statesman" right there in the deep south. A beautiful young bi-racial presidential nominee with the white southern gentleman. What a photo that would be...
