and even if I KNEW they were a Republican, I would still offer them the money to buy the food they needed, because that's what being a Liberal, a Progressive, a Democrat is all about. Some of us don't have a lot of material goods, some of us may not have enough for a Thanksgiving feast, but tomorrow if you need someone, we'll be here. Thanks for being here when I always needed you. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. (Image)

Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum made some interesting comments during a Town Hall Meeting in Ottumwa, Iowa, Friday, November 18th. Santorum believes low-income Americans get too much government assistance and the solution to this crime of poverty is to suffer in the "Christian tradition." Say What? "If you're lower-income, you can qualify for Medicaid, you can qualify for food stamps, you can qualify for housing assistance." Santorum continued to say that...

what does that make you? If you send death threats to a man who discovered the pedophile enabled by your coach who was fired and it was your child he sodomized, how would you feel? If you think sports is more important than protecting children, and that protecting pedophiles or your beloved football coach who enabled the pedophile who sodomized a LOT of children, what does that make you? Shame

(Image) A feature on the White House's website designed to encourage citizens to interact with the administration has become what every very public forum on the Internet eventually becomes: a target for trolls. The "We the People" petition feature of whitehouse.gov, launched in September, is intended as a way for citizens to petition the Obama administration for action on specific topics of concern. Citizens can register an account on the site, and create petitions or sign those of others. Wh...

My two favorite no longer available Target bags, one canvas one burlap, bread, Swiss cheese, three Stonyfield 32 oz yogurts, bag of Almond Joy minis for my lunches this week, Olivio, foot long turkey and swiss sandwich from the deli for dinner tonight, corn muffins, pumpkin donuts, bananas, eggs, pancake syrup and a 12 pack of Lipton citrus tea. $44 worth of groceries in total. And the bags had the bread and eggs visible under the light where I was parked. I work in a town where you don't real...

or Medicare is raised to 67? I know the answer, we all know the answer. Republicans want you to DIE. If you aren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, aren't smart enough to work in arbitrage, or lucky enough to win the lottery, Republicans want you to fucking DIE. Ask them what the solution is. Ask them where the jobs at a living wage are for Seniors. They don't have one idea, they want you to DIE Shame.

When Amy Rowell went to the Milwaukee Animal Control Commission to pick up one furry friend, another found her. A cat reached out his big paw and tapped her on the head -- with all 26 of his toes. The curious cat, who she later named Daniel, was supposed to be euthanized that day due to lack of space and resources at the animal control center. "It's like he was saying, 'Take me home,'" Rowell, the executive director of the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, told the Huffington Post. But, now tha...

In the now 300 plus days since Republicans have taken control of the House, GOP policies have zero jobs and destroyed over 4.2 million jobs through spending cuts and legislation. At the 200 day mark of GOP control, House Republicans had voted to create 0 jobs, and had cast votes that would kill 1.9 million jobs. House Republicans have also pushed through spending cuts that they claimed would create jobs, but they have had the opposite effect. According to study by the Center For American Progr...

the people behind the Teabaggers had money and organization. We have people. people are not enough. Without a spokesperson(s), the media can make us look like nothing more than anarchists, and the people they choose to put on the air every day are selected because they aren't vibrant or eloquent. Unless someone steps up soon with some credibility, it's over. Sorry, my opinion. And I am not alone. Have a nice weekend. I may see ya in the park.......

That about does it for me. Sorry. He's proven to be nothing more than a lapdog of the Right. His reelection will cause more pain as he heads hard right like we never thought he'd go. My beloved ex needs it every day because she can't take muscle relaxers for her spinal disease. A friend who just died if cancer would have suffered horribly without it. Thousands need it. Liar, hypocrite, friend of the Republicans. He is not my President. He is the President of the 1%. (Link)

I quit AT&T after being a customer since 1994. All because they refused to lower my cell phone bill by $20 from $99 to match Sprint or Verizon better plans. My choice was Sprint or Verizon. I chose Verizon because I don't need a smart phone and don't text much. I thought my plan was going to cost $69.95 plus $5 a month for up to 250 messages per month and tax bringing it to $83. I've been ill and on top of that my car had been hit by a drunk driver two weeks ago and I have to grub rides to and...

The new chief executive of MediaNews Group, publisher of the Denver Post and 50 other newspapers, said it was “a dumb idea” for the nation’s second-largest newspaper chain to sign up with copyright troll Righthaven. The Denver-based publisher’s year-long copyright infringement litigation deal with Righthaven is terminating at month’s end, said John Paton, who replaced Dean Singleton to lead the company on Wednesday. “The issues about copyright are real,” Paton told Wired.com in a telephone int...

Every Life Has Worth: Why Compassion Holds are so Important You don’t hear much about compassion holds in the rescue community, and it makes me sad. I understand that compassion holds may be a difficult topic for some people to hear about, but I also think that they’re under-utilized by many rescues. Some rescues don’t even do them. This is a shame, since they’re a very big way to make a difference for a needy animal. So, what is a compassion hold? In the simplest sense, it’s a way to ensure ...

How many Americans actually give a happy monkey fuck?
How did we get here

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful
Wife
And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the moneys gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the moneys gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Water dissolving...and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the moneys gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the moneys gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
