Donald Trump is "moderating" the GOP debate because P.T. Barnum is unavailable.

the Iraqi people were punished for something they did not do. That pretext brought the deaths of many thousands of men, women and children. It "justified" the destruction of their vital infrastructure and the theft of their resources and simultaneously erased artifacts from the beginnings of civilization. That last is especially significant as there is nothing civilized about how this all came about. Those who crafted the lies in order to wage the unwarranted retribution as cover for massive theft did so by deceiving the blood and valor of our people in uniform. The perpetrators financed this misadventure by waving the flag with one hand while picking our pockets with the other, and that same sleight of hand served also to render deaf and stupid our vaunted blind justice. That sound you hear in the distance is their howling laughter as they deposit their monstrous uncountable booty in off-shore accounts; the nearer sound is the wailing of their obedient minions as they cry about the lavish pittance we tender the people of Iraq in order to help rebuild that which cannot be rebuilt. And until we reclaim our national conscience such things will continue to be done IN OUR NAME.

Thanks to cranky bones I'm not able to camp or march the way I used to. So, with lots of ideas, suggestions, inspiration, and sometimes artwork from fellow 99%ers on the internets, I've been making buttons almost as fast as they can be handed out. So I'm sharing back with the designs that have grown out of that interaction. Our group chose to go with the black/orange color scheme, but the designs are basic enough to adapt otherwise. These are proving to be fun conversation-starters wherever they are worn. Please feel free to borrow and adapt, seeing as how...

This one came about after our town was featured in a recent episode of South Park:

New ideas happily accepted, by the way!

This week Jesse Jackson, huge supporter of the 99%, said that OWS people are "the canaries in the coal mine."

Well said.

Our Ops team will be out and about at the malls and big box stores on Friday starting at 5am, handing out small flyers to encourage local shopping. On the back of the flyer is a list of locally owned small businesses.

We ARE the 99%!

In the past I have accused Grover Norquist of being one of you, and I was very wrong to do so. Mr. Norquist needs to climb several rungs to attain your level. Again, please accept my most heartfelt apology for so grossly disparaging you.

We've been pleasantly surprised by our reception. Still a bit wary, with good reason, but surprised just the same. At the very least, it's quite interesting. Here's today's article:

Much as I'd love to be camping out with our local Occupy group, the last thing they need is to be tripping over a frozen old lady all tangled up in her oxygen hose. That said, my snazzy new walker (with brakes, no less!) will allow me to spend a bit of time carrying a sign on warmer days.

Meanwhile, in a couple of hours I'll be chatting with some folks about organizing a Thanksgiving dinner for our Occupiers. It just seems an appropriate way to convey our profound thanks for their incredible effort. Turkey. Stuffing. Sweet taters. And, of course, pumpkin occu-pie.

This is something I can do. Will you join me?
