Clinton can still make up to $250,000 per speech, and he is a good speaker and sought after worldwide. Then, think of the books. They too will sell well because he was president. He does well financially even without the elite.

ourselves, why aren't Kucinich, or Sanders, or Grayson, or any other Progressive running against Obama in the primaries? One likely and very important reason is they realize that they would be splitting the Democratic Party. And this would guarantee that a Gingrich, Romney, or Bachmann would be president in Jan., 2013! This would be a nightmare! No responsible Progressive or Liberal would want to see the above happen. This would be self-destruct, a death-wish. No matter how poorly one thi...

companies to use 80% (85% for the large ins. cos.) of their premiums for medical expenses. Failing that, the ins. co. will have to send reimbursement checks back to the clients. This is being overseen by the Dep't of Health and Human Services. Ins. cos. have already tried to get consent from HHS to consider expenses involved in selling insurance to new clients as a "medical expense." HHS said, "No." That is definitely something Obama had done for the middle classes. Another is a pre-exi...

Middle East nations, and under one pretext or another rob them of their oil over the past 60+ years, 9/11 would never have happened. And all the mildly unpleasant as well as the deadly consequences resulting from 9/11 would never have happened either -- from the long waits and humiliating inconvience of being strip-searched at airports, to the incredible horrors of the Middle-East wars. As Shakespeare had said: "The evil that men do, long liveth after them." And corporatists aren'...

Great news! After three long years, there's hope for a full investigation into the terrible damage the big banks did to our economy. The Attorneys General of New York, Delaware, and a few other states have put their careers on the line to insist on it. The BANKS ARE LOBBYING FURIOUSLY FOR IMMUNITY IN EXCHANGE FOR A totally inadequate settlement?and they almost struck a DEAL(1)?BUT THESE PROGRESSIVE ATTORNEYS general, backed up by millions of progressives, have BLOCKED THE DEAL and are pushing a...

follow the money and control over people, and the trail of human misery, destruction and death left in its wake. That's a right-wing fascist for you.

This morning, for the first time, a member of the U.S. Congress is officially introducing our People’s Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. This is a breakthrough we’ve been working toward since launching our campaign nearly two years ago. Congratulations! Now is the time to drum up some serious support for it. Please sign on now, then spread the word as widely as you can: (Link) Here’s the language of the Amendment, which is virtually identical to the version chosen by m...

knowledge of how to govern. They are so deeply and totally involved in stuffing their own pockets with ill-gotten profits, that they can't help but ignore doing anything else - outside of lying about what they are doing. In order to reach 9%, it can only mean that many of the right-wingers themselves are voting against the right-wing Congress. Correct? Don't right-wingers make up more than 20% of the political spectrum? Even many of the slow ones can't help but notice what is happening to...

This has to be carefully watched for, since nothing will destroy the present positive mood for Occupy Wall Street faster than having it seen by the American public as a "violent mob." And this is what the right-wingers want. (Link)

This is a most important petition calling for forgiveness of student loan debt ? a step that will suddenly give new workers thousands of dollars more to spend for their daily necessities. There are millions of former students still paying their load debts and can barely make their ends meet. The forgiveness of their loan debts will stimulate the economy immediately. The petition has over 450,000 signatures so far, making it one of the fastest-growing petitions we've seen in years. Will you...

If we looked back for something in the past that is similar to what is happening today, one would be the years of the Great Depression before FDR became president. FDR was successful, America became prosperous again. How long did this prosperity last? Roughly until the Clinton years -- about 60-plus years. Then came Bush, Jr. A down period followed by an up, and then another down. So we are at the beginning of struggling for another up period, and this will be a long, hard struggle. ...

In Wikipedia Encyclopedia's article on "Occupy Wall Street," about one-third of the way down, there is this brief section on the participant make-up of the Movement: << Participants In late September, the Occupy Wall Street protest spread to Boston and other cities. General breakdown: The movement is leaderless, centered upon the statement: "The one thing we all have in common is that We are the 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%." The protests have bro...

under the Constsitution." Why is it that the highest court in the land doesn't have the highest ethical standards? That's the question we've been asking ever since Common Cause researchers discovered that Justice Clarence Thomas failed to disclose his wife's income for 13 years, and since reports surfaced that Thomas and fellow Justice Antonin Scalia attended secretive political gatherings hosted by the Koch Brothers. snip Tomorrow at 2:30pm, we have a chance to get an answer. Justices Scal...

some 70+ U.S cities, that will begin their protests in the coming weeks of October and November, but they have also spread overseas to cities in UK, Spain..... and South Africa. The protests have now become global! This could put a crimp to the style of the arrogance and endless greed of the international corporations. Their dream was to take possession of the whole world, and now the world is saying back to them, "Stop your greed, lies, thuggery, and corruption! If you don't stop, we are ...

does no good for Occupy WS, but it creates a huge annoyance for New Yorkers trying to get somewhere. We have to watch out for those GOPers. When you see a few people doing something that will only make the goals of Occupy Wall Street look bad -- think twice about following them, or not! Don't simply follow blindly. It could be the GOP's way of fighting back. (Just trying to be of help).

that his wife had earned over a number of years, and which he had never declared on his income tax. Finally! I think the important thing is that Thomas' dishonesty gets a good public exposure. There are so many people (Reps. especially) who know nothing about the wrong-doings of high government officials. Some of these latter will learn something different, for a change. It would be of benefit to real justice in this country of ours, if he resigned out of shame. But, I think he has a very...

lowered considerably -- we'd have to rubber-stamp pass every student for simply having been physically in class. Let's take the tougher college courses, like math and all the sciences based on math: physics, engineering, chemistry... The average student cannot pass the exams. One has to be considerably above average. That's the way nature made us. Some are less intelligent, some average, some above average. We can improve the quality of our schools without having to send everyone thr...

under "Latest Breaking News" by Bradblog that says any Diebold voting machine can be hacked by remote control from up to half a mile away by simply buying and installing $26 worth of computer parts. I am practically a computer illiterate. I can only think of one way of stopping the right-wingers from rigging the elections of Nov. 2012: Start a movement to ban all electronic voting machines before Nov. 2012. That's only 13 months away. Can anyone with good computer knowledge come up wi...
