was done by any individual. There is no burden of proof or accountability because the entirety of the decision tree is in a closed loop.

Indeed, there is no verification after the fact to ensure that the process is in anyway dependable.

You may well be comfortable in this case...fine, but you well know it easily can become more murky from there. As you well know, both our Intelligence and discernment of it have been way off base in the past and that people that were not enemies (and sometimes those who could not be greater allies to our most fundamental ideals or our people) of our nation have been declared as such at the highest levels before.

You are no slowcoach, Sir, and know exactly what I mean and the easy path for great danger from this kind of power. There are no "fainting coaches" here, those who have always sought to restrain such power are naturally opposed to its evolution, codification, and open acceptance.

Here in the real world, sir, the worst that we reserve for the worst is all the innocent are guaranteed anything above that must be accompanied by good fortune.

the 99ers, who was relentless in pursuit of health care for all Americans, and is a friend to labor is rightfully offended in being lumped with O'Reilly, Rush, and Hannity who do nothing but lie and mislead in the interest of the wealthy and oppressive.

I'm pissed for him and think it reflects poorly on "liberals" who are quick to buy the false equivalence meme and utterly ignore the content of his message and the causes he supports.

You luke warm weenies are why we've been getting our asses kicked for a generation.

Look at those without a home, without work, look at the corporate war on our environment, look at the wealth disparity, look at the income disparity, look at the swelling right wing violence, think about the ruinous debt run up for war profiteering and to pad the dragon hordes of the wealthy, thank about the inequality, consider the suicidal trade agreements, look at the corporate capture of our government and if you don't have some passion and righteous anger then you are either sans pulse or don't really give a flying fuck.

Fucking mealy mouth surrender monkeys are no better than the capitulating sell outs. Either way the store is given away to the predators and vultures and the regular American goes further down the tubes.

A bunch of comfortable, risk adverse, cowardly, middling titty babies with no skin in the game crying because those that are getting a mudhole stomped in them and the RARE advocate make too much noise for your delicate sensibilities and disturb your country club mentality.

How are you supposed to screw us out of our Social Security with all this bellyaching?!?

How are we going to let powerful interests dictate our tomorrows with this out cry?

How can we maintain our wars with all this bitching?

How can we ignore the sick, poor, and homeless with all that hubbub???

Fuck all this mealy mouthed bullshit! I stand with those that refuse to watch without a peep.

You are stepping down an insanely dangerous path a little more rashly than I'm able to see as the long term best interest of maintaining a free society.

I certainly share your feelings on the plausible ramifications of these stupid, knuckle dragging, hateful, and bigoted actions fully but my fear of the slip slide logic that the burning of an ordinary book not in an effort to annihilate the text from the world in a literal sense but to make a symbolic statement rises to any logically accepted level of incitement under our system of law or ethics.

It is no different than making a defiant statement of burning any other article in this longstanding method of protest.

Free speech in this model becomes a hostage to the determination to throw a tantrum and I'd fight it with the same determination or more than any terrorist.

A free society comes with risks and I warn you that this line of thinking is well within eyeshot of denying for example the civil rights movement as it may tend to offend certain folks to have marches and speeches around their parts and might react rather poorly.

There is no there there. There is no justification or reasonable explanation for much of any concern about burning a book beyond fire code.

Burning a cross in someone's yard isn't criminal because it is a cross but because it is in their yard and a direct and present act of intimidation to a particular victim. If the Klan had used a square, an ankh, a fish, star or whatever instead of the cross that would be a hate crime too.

The entire concept of our law is twisting in folks mind in an effort to avoid the downside of free expression and sell what many have been disenfranchised from and others sacrificed and died to establish and preserve because there is always the chance that someone will handle offense poorly and lash out.

The path to Hell is paved with good intentions man. Conflict aversion cannot be the number one goal of existence. What will be next? What else of our birthright will we exchange for the hope that no one will be too upset? Where the hell is the end of the line?

The price of peace at any cost is too high for me.

Dick Morris.

Failure to weed the garden leads to the plants that bear fruit being chocked out.

Soon the garden will be a plot of weeds and thistle if these trends continue.

Let there be no question that there are forces that are tireless in the destruction of the ideals, values, and principles that are best in our nation. These forces are conservative and/or regressive in nature. They hijack the mantle of FDR and JFK and institute the policies of Ronald Reagan and George W Bush under the guise of "sensibility" and "pragmatism".

The right wing usurpers are the true trolls in our party and they have infiltrated at the very highest levels. They must be fought, defeated, and flushed down the crapper. If they want to control a party then they need to subdue the teabagger extremists.

Listen to the likes of Davis, Morris, and Lincoln. Their words and stances are echoed by like minded ideologues posing as "centrists".

We have failed to tend our garden and been far too adverse to conflict and now it will take hard labor in the blazing sun to one again have our seed bear fruit but we can do it if we stick to our life long values and our vision for a better world to leave behind.

The "concerns" enumerated cannot be answered in sound bites or 20 minutes with David Gregory. Some of them are incurable absent personal exposer. Some are pretty much a requirement to disprove a negative because they are built on BIGOTED emotional responses rather than anything related to evidence.

Hell, one of your "concerns" is fucking distrust of religion, for crying out loud. What on earth are they going to do about something like that?

The best way to foster understanding of "other" is to spend time together, to share burdens, to participate in common joys and sadness.

No group yet has "explained" their way out of such a trap.

This tact is some bogus passive-aggressive bullying, "Do what we say or you don't mean what you say and deserve our attacks".

You don't put people in no win scenarios like that and it is dishonest to pretend the "concerns" are rational.

You have placed a burden of proof that cannot logically be met and that is against everything we are supposed to be about on innocent Americans.

Americans ought to take such desecration of out values personally because if we don't there will be another black mark in our history and it will be fodder for global extremism by proving that our words are empty and our principles a thing of ease and convenience.

You think this foolish display sells to 1.5 billion muslims or is it more likely that some will see hate and intolerance that tells them our pitch of inclusion is bullshit?

"Straight talker"?

We could be out laying palm leaves in front of Obama and would have no impact on that situation.

You all should have dropped the Bankster Corzine in the primaries and ran somebody that wasn't distrusted and hated and this would have never happened.

You drank too damn much beltway koolaid and rode a dead horse in the Derby, so you got burnt.

Give the voters a choice, a real choice that doesn't doublespeak and you'll win.
Right now you guys are fucking numbnuts for running a fucking Bankster that was underwater because you knew his name and he has a lot of money.

Sometimes "pragmatic" is really just craven, amoral, lazy, and absent creativity.

To choke those small business down and make the costs too high to operate independently. They'll have needed capital to deal with the oppressive government and slowly buy many if not most out even if it takes one of those bizarre land lease building own deals and just jack the rent above plausible income and then let it rot.

Or they will provide needed business and offer you a deal that compromises either your vision or the way you operate and serve other customers and eat at things that way.

They'll throw crime at you. They will find tiny things to keep you in court all the time. They will raise questions, just innocent questions using their influence if you threaten their cash flow.

They will put health care out of reach and if they must allow it withing a stretched out arms length they will do it in the most invasive and uncomfortably as they can for ever piece of copper they can extract.

They will make certain crucial kinds insurance tough to get and harder to maintain.

In short they will do everything they can to pull the ladder to prosperity out of reach of as many as possible without stopping the flow dead because the moment that plausible deniability is gone is the one when the "small people" get serious about pulling stuff down rather than dreaming of climbing up.

That's probably why lotteries got so popular to spread the free market gospel to more people as ready opportunity to those willing to work was dismantled.
Now lil Ricky down at the trailer park can get as pissed about his future wealth stolen away for welfare queens and furreners as Travis the small time electrical contractor. If the power brokers are lucky and can keep the message out in all forms of media then you might even hook some destitute minorities!

Everybody is just a winning number away from having to give up half their long over due money like they was Tiger or Johnny Carson getting a divorce and to give it to some not shit bums.

Just a winning number away.

Most of you are endangering the troops by campaigning to put them in harm's way for bogus reasons and the purpose of gain for a greedy few.

You are culpable for the waste of our blood and our treasure!

You cheer lead for wasting our nation away on folly.

You give the political cover need to allow this farce to go on by standing shoulder to shoulder with the most batshit neocons and cowardly xenophobes in supporting a foolhardy war.

You disparage what this nation stood for at least in word when it was great by running down hero's to peace, democracy, civilian control of the military.

Rage all you want, many of us will celebrate these brave men and support them from squawking chickenhawks and the phony brave as well as the deluded.

Only now do you cry about spilled blood, cries for lackeys while babies are collateral damage.

Simply from not being anchored in a wasted effort. Beyond being able to more wisely allocate these blown resources more wisely almost however they are spent, including debt service.

We will certainly benefit in general deterrence capability by not being mired in an unwinnable farce. Our ability to. To actually have potential to project an effective force anywhere makes a potential threat think twice.
Dead certainty of how stretched we are potentially means some that may not have been going for blood will take a chance when they smell it in the water. It leads to other powers maneuvering in ways that reduce strategic advantages.

We also stop over extending our troops allowing them to be more effective and less stressed and allows us to stop maintaining and resources to corporate mercenary armies who undermine our security and rule of law far beyond the scope of the rag tag terrorist and US created insurgents (aka people who had no beef till we occupied their country) on principle alone and in real life terms as well with their criminal behavior, dumping money by the ton to people determined to undermine our republic for profit and power, and were growing a heap of power tripping fucknuts who will eventually rotate back here and become abusive cops or work in the private sector as modern day Pinkerton's for nefarious purposes.

Will the Taliban retake the country? Such as they did before or if not them some similar group.

I don't get the relevance of the where aspect of planning an attack or training for one. It can just as easily happen in whole or in part anywhere in the world that isn't locked down and probably in those places too, if need be.

The impact on Pakistan's nuclear weapons is negligible and I'd say obviously beyond our reach in any event. We also are probably more safe by not having our troops attacked by Pakistani funded bands, funded on a pass through basis by us. That's a sure loser and there is almost no way to swim upstream against that kind of flow.

Of course there will be civil war to some degree, just as there is right now and has been for longer than we've been around. However, we can at least reduce the funding for it and certainly get out of the middle of it, reduce the quality of the weapons available, and cease stirring it up.

Some of the people we worked with will prosper well beyond previous hope others will die in horrible midevil fashion in retaliation for some pretty heinous acts themselves.

The women will live like shit on a shoe as they have for centuries, some willingly others desperately struggling and yearning for self determination and a chance for something like a real life.

I see why you'd be hammered for the focus on political blow back, it is deserved to a large extent.
I know that doesn't sound very kind but I get the impression it is the dominant concern and if that is the case it is a rather dangerous and untrustworthy priority system.

The defense is frankness about the situation and if you need a maneuver then you can tie the Republicans in knots by dropping the hammer on their war criminals and corporate scum while quickly firing up big construction projects to show that you're putting people to work and have brought home the bacon.

There is no magic shield to stave off the Republican shit throwing. It's what they do and there will be some howling and crap corporate press. The reality is deal with it like women and men who really are country and people first or cower in the corner like craven pieces of runny pigshit until the Republicans take power and are forced to shut it down themselves and we can tell protest stories to our kids and grandchildren in the comfort of our tent cities and indigents farms and swallow the shame of our cowardice when we held the strings and our regret at the costs of our calculation.

Also, I fail to see why the blowback will cause us to lose power or any guarantee that if we pour our young people's blood and many year's worth of treasure into a quagmire that we will retain it.

The pursuit of the permanent majority is some serious folly and ducking shadows in a vain effort to hold on to it can lead to worse errors than even the worst intentions will fall well short off in damage to our nation and values.

The "shrewd" calculation will undo us quicker than getting slapped down for serving the best interest of our people.

so people can not only get a job but one that pays a decent living wage so we can pay to to take care of ourselves and the children, the old, and the sick while building up something for ourselves instead of falling for a con that will grow elderly poverty like a weed and depress wages massively.

Long term this will grow the deficit just on lost tax revenue and a long term stagnant economy for most Americans.

The problem is that this is a scam and a heinous one at that. When was the last time we had millions of extra jobs in the economy? How can it be ignored that if we keep millions in the labor pool that there is a lot less to go around and even more people in line to replace you?

Why not a single peep of applying the tax to ALL income to rebalance the books and then looking at a half percent or a percent to allow us to retire at say 50-55-60 if we like or need to? Hell, if the retirement age was lower maybe we'd be at least creating enough jobs to keep up with population instead of slipping a little less and creating a wage death spiral and painful struggle for folks hungry for the chance to earn an income.

repudiated and tossed into history's waste basket rather than assimilated, modified slightly, and put into effect.

I realize EXACTLY how gawtawful and repulsive the Republicans are (nor have I lost track of how much I disagree with our father's Republicans either) and that is why it is most important to me to destroy what they stand for. That's why they must never be given an ounce of validity and why a fair number of them should be under a maximum security federal prison.

You can't ring the Republican alarm only to emulate them, give their demonstrably false philosophies credence, surrender ground without turnabout, or adopt their stances and practices.

You don't beat em by joining em. A more inclusive and generally sane Republican rule is not a goal or even an acceptable rest stop for me.

beyond any opposition. Perhaps nothing this side of believing the world of flat is more repudiated by reality than Republican economic ideology.

This isn't the first time the wheels have come off this jalopy. Everyone over the last hundred and fifty years this philosophy has been even halfway attempted the results have been between awful and disastrous or worse.

Yet, somehow not only do our politicians fail to prosecute and indict daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly this rather disturbingly obvious fact but then attempt to increasingly adopt the same bogus ideas themselves and actively sell and execute the same nonsensical policies.

There is little wisdom to be found in perpetuating a lie, especially one of this staggering reach and scope.
The so called common wisdom is a demonstrated and proven lie and assimilating such lies says a lot of ominous things.

We cannot build and work from and on top of a false premise.

Hating cruelty, hating the disregarding of civil rights and liberties, hating disdain for the concept of equality under the law should be righteous and society wide.

Hating our fellow citizens and human beings for the way they were created by God and were born ain't in the same ballpark.

You argue that ending slavery was a violation of democracy? I argue that their can be no actual democracy in a society where there are people who are less equal and have no seat at the table.

My hate is the shitty content of some people's character not the color of their skin, their dialect, their place of ancestral origin, who they love or have sex with, or who they pray to or if they pray at all.
