The black cabin boy who worked his way up to ship crew status was smarter than anyone else on the boat and jumped up right after the ship hit the iceburg and shouted, "Elect me your captain and I'll do things differently to get you out of this mess"

So in spite of the good amount of racists and traditionalist rich aristocracy on board who voted against him, the majority prevailed and Obama became captain.

He immediately backed the ship up as much as was still possible. Then with a nod and a wink to the old guard crew that were still loyal to the previous captain, he ordered the ship forward again. "Full steam ahead! Only this time we will hit the iceburg just slightly to the left of where we hit it the last time!"

Later as the last of the ship was going under, the Captains best mate Jonesy shook his head and whispered his exasperation. "If only all those folks that voted for you had supported you more, then you'd not be in this mess"

My frustration with this administration is boiling over. Here's how I see it.
Dems keep expecting the Reps to be reasonable. And every day they are wiping sand from their eyes.

Americans, specifically the independents and "moderates", don't want to give their votes to a party that wimps out and caves in every time. It really doesn't matter if its a left or a right initiative. Its how strongly one stands behind it. Obama seemed like a strong, take no prisoners leader, and that's why he was voted in over the bumbling waffling old man. And Nancy and Harry seemed to convey that things would now be different, right after the election, but a year later its Gary the GOP that is back as "the Man" in most independent voters minds.
