Will be saying bu-by to blue-dog Walt Minic. He couldn't have been more of a sell-out Democrat and more of a psudo-Repuke if he had tried. He was kicked to the curb for not being conservative enough for this state. I have no patience for fake Democrats. We might as well have the stupid tea-bagger who was just elected to vote the way Walt, did. At least it won't be as embarrassing as being betrayed by one of our own. Bu-by, Walt, you pleased no one, and were let down by the conservative vot...

I was found an excellent quote in the book I've been reading since, January. Yes, since January. I usually zoom through books in a week or two but it's James Michener's 'The Covenant'. I slogged through 'The Source', last year. John Dube, in one of these meetings, offered the statement which Nxumalo would always remember:'The worst thing a nation can do to itself is to cultivate and maintain a supply of cheap labor. When salaries are kept down, money stops circulating, taxes bring in dimini...

We do 'Survivor' differently here in God's country. The version of "Idaho Survivor" contestants must travel from Boise through Twin Falls, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, up through Coeur d' Alene, Post Falls, Moscow, and Lewiston, and back to Boise,......driving a Volvo with a bumper sticker that reads: "I'm for Obama, I'm gay, and I'm here to take your guns". The first to complete the round trip is the winner. Go figure?:P :P oops

and go down blazin'. (not really, I hate guns, I'm scared of them, and I couldn't kill anybody, but it seemed like a good thing to say at the time) I'm thinkin', Canada? I just heard, my Congressman, Bill Salli, R say we need to dump a bunch more money into twice as many border enforcement agents, more agents to hunt down gang-members, and drug runners. He wants more money for busting the employers and Mexicans at the work place. How much is spent now on border patrol? How much is being s...

which finds the difference between the conservative brain and the liberal brain. The conservatives are so locked in to the right vs wrong, left vs right, male vs female, white vs black, one way or the other way of believing. I have always been a shade of grey thinker. I'll bet most of us lefties are. Speaking of 'lefty', you know that left is sinister and right is divine? I hate it that they can always drag God over to 'their' side. I have long since had an interest in mental health and br...

that really burned me out was the commutation of Scooter Libby's sentence. I wasn't expecting it and it took the wind out of my sails. Many people on the board were nonplussed. I thought my heart would disintegrate with grief. I didn't know I even cared until it got taken away. What a let down. I have huge outrage fatigue. And yet I see outrage and contempt, take the Republicans so far in their causes. Maybe we just don't do the look down your nose, pinch your face up like you re smelli...

I haven't heard that term for a long time, yet to be sure, that is exactly what were did to Jose Padilla. Made him loose his mind. That should be punishment enough. What could be worse than to be left a mere shell of your former being? Death would be less cruel but it's not the fear invoking deterrent that knowing the United States Government can grab you and leave you a mindless zombie. If the Geneva conventions is ever up dated from the 'quaint' old instruction guide it once was, they ne...

This is a disturbing trend. I confess, since before and after my spinal fusion i have been using some form of hydrocodone. I've had it prescribed before and had little trouble getting back off when 6 weeks healing time was up. This time my back is somewhat better but I have ugly neuropathy in both of my legs and feet. I hold court on myself everyday, feeling like I'm going to be a disappointment to my doctor, the State Insurance fund, and the lawyer. The chronic pain is just a stone cold dr...

I can't be drafted but I have three boys, 27, 25, 22. I have 4 friends who have lost kids in accidents. The grief is unbearable. The change in people's psyches, permanent. Horrible to observe and participate. The loss is senseless. I have a 23 year old nephew in the Army. He has been to Iraq once. He is due to deploy again in September. He is like a brother to my 22y/o and I am his favorite Auntie. My oldest went into the army in 1999 and was discharged in 2003. Don't think I wasn't s...

put his hat into the ring. I'm a 52y/o woman. I've been a Democrat all my life. I do a lot of soul searching about why I can't support Hillary. Because I want to. I've thought of myself as a feminist of sorts. I know a woman can do the job as well as a man. I think it high time for America to have a woman president. Then there's the DLC. It feels so Republican lite to me. So I had this philosophical discussion in my head about letting go of the Corporation-Fascism-Chinese-manufacturing...

and I can't put it out. I would like to herd all the Democratic cats, to a common ground, where all of our Democratic Candidates, give up the race, pool all the campaign money, into a hugh pool, and hire experts and legal teams to go after those fuckers in the White House, and MAKE THEM PAY. At the Hague...after, they are stripped of, all their money, it goes in to a widows/children fund and veterans medical/psychological fund. We all just get behind Al Gore/ Clark and elect them, with out s...

because The Government lies about everything else. They are still trying to foist on us this notion of 9/11 being related to our need to fight in Iraq. I remember reading one American soldier's account of fighting in Faluja. He said they were instructed to form any link they could with foreign fighters. The enemy combatants were 99% Iraqi Nationals. They were using tags on clothing as reasonable proof, if they were manufactured in another country. This is a desperate situation all built on...

Our poor, poor, Fore Fathers. How they must be slack-jawed with astonishment. Six years to take down 200 years of a well-working Democracy into hopeless Fascism. For the Corporations, By the Corporations, Of the corporations. Yeah, that's what they meant.

and then to take away our belief in free elections. I was late to catch on, to the concern of election tampering and all of the dirty tricks in Florida in 2000 and the crazy stuff in Ohio in 2004. To think that we might not be able to vote them out because KKKarl is 'fixing' all the votes. They need special punishment for dashing my patriotism. I like to believe in my country, believe that it is good and helps people have better lives. I don't feel that pride. I actually hate the fervent N...

They have gotten 'em two Democrats to kick around on the radio now, so Limbah, can alternate tirades of righteous indignation on William Jefferson, DEMOCRAT,Louisiana and Sandy 'Burglar' DEMOCRAT of the Bill Clinton Supporting Kind. These two men are about to become human footballs of radio, television, the internet, and all the news everywhere for the next 3 days. We will forget Gonzo, Scooter, Abramhoff, Foley, Cunningham, DeLay, and the big fish at the head of the 'Family'. This is a gang ...

It needs looked into and publicly aired in the light of day. This secret stuff is allowing termites to erode the House of Liberty and Justice for All. Our Founding Fathers must be whirling in their graves. They need to haunt, George's ass, until he runs off to the Hague, for protection, from the Ghost of The Bill of Rights and the authors of the Constitution. In all of those Historic Buildings there has to be an Agitated Apparition. Booo, Boooo, Boooo, run away, George, run away, the spirit...

I can't stand him. He's coming to Boise on his 'Inconvenient Tour'. His radio spot whines over and over in the nasal tone sing song "how in-connn-veeeen-yent". He's a rude, smug, smirking, smart-ass, punk, kid. There is something immature about his juvenile, fun-making gag routines. And I mean, gag. *Belch* What a sophomoric witless sense of humor. To pick on people. Belittle and insult with innuendos and conjured up 'facts'. He's entertainment so he can slant the 'news' report with an...

he is wonderful to listen to. I was sad when the discussion ended. I wanted more. How powerful would he be as Al Gores, Vice President, even though he is fully Presidential. Or, he could be Al's KKKarl Rove. Wouldn't the freepers find croneyism and politics in that one. But it's okay for them. Man, i would love the see the Democrats back in the White House. And the continued, Oversight and investigation of the Money changing and Big Deals with these Hugh Corporations. This has been Fasci...

Blackwater looting the museums post Shock and Awe. Someone knew what precious ancient relics were in there. No mention of pieces floating up to be fenced. We trashed that country. Now we just want 'em to GIVE us their oil. I bet Cheney's fucking home is lined with ancient relics from Iraq. That prick. He needs a good waterboarding to clear his conscience.

The mistreatment of the detainees at Guantanamo is a living, ongoing, nightmare for all Americans with a conscience. I suffer vicariously because I can't stand to see any living thing mistreated. And for George Bush to defend and promote this scourge against human rights, drives me wild. I think all of America is just a little more mentally ill each day. And I think the people like Dr. Laura and Rush limbaugh that have radio air time each day and promote and defend the torture and detainment...

Is that these interrogators, if they have any conscience at all, will have to live with what they have done. Or die with it. Suicide seems like a natural progression of the crime spree set in motion by this Terrible Administration. Everybody down the chain of command is punished for following orders. I live with a great deal of chronic pain. I have tremendous compassion for the abused and the suffering of detainees. It's so wrong to hurt people who are locked up, and then put in chains and...

my brain feels fried. I have a permanent dent from the heel of my hand hitting my forehead. My eyes have rolled up to the top and stayed. I hope I don't start pulling out my hair or gnashing my teeth. I'll be toothless and bald. I am so frustrated with all the law breaking and the fact that some classes seem to be above the law. This is not the justice system of the blindfolded lady holding out the scales. This if you are a Republican you are protected by...what? What is it that makes th...

The Bush Evil Empire is going down with the Nazi's legacy of cruelty and savagery. I wounder if the Bulsheviks plan was not to torture, maim and deprive these Muslim men, all around the world, to make sure the US Military never runs out of enemies to fight. My, God, the sheer brutality, of it all. Bush has single-handedly ratcheted up the ire of these people for generations. I don't think we could do anything to gain their forgiveness. The other thing that truly bothers me is what it has do...

More troops=more targets. Make this POS a private military expedition. Leave those Blackwater bastards and let Haliburton cook, clean and wash clothes for them. They are making the Oil private for the oil companies. Get our boys home. This house to house, gorilla warfare is the most dangerous, ludicrous, misadventure, ever. All the stupid patrols over IED infested roads is brainless, too. Put our men and women on those safe bases and let them push paper. Give that fuckin' oil to Hallibur...

when Iraqi men join either the Police or the Army. They seem to be nearly one and the same. Can you imagine living under conditions where your Standing Army was used against civilians and the police helped. The Occupying force hates all Muslims and Arabs and takes glee in the fact that they kill each other so we don't have to. Anybody drop off any food boxes and bottled water lately? How in gods name can that even be done safely. We ought to be kicking in doors to deliver ice and propane, ...

in all those civilian doors? How fast can we torture out the names, of the next families', house to go to? How many of these raids have been the result of false information, given under duress? How much money do we give in payoffs for killing the wrong civilians? I can't stand my own cynicism, anymore. I'm a blackheart of pessimism. My nephew, is supposed to go back over to that, quicksand, tarpit, quagmire, civil war, hell hole in September, for the second time. They need to jerk every f...

invaders. I feel like aliens invaded and took over my government. I hate guns. I kinda feel like we'd all be safer if no one had them. My young son on the other hand is enamored of weapons. His room is full of pistols, I think called glocks, and some large automatic machine gun looking things. I'm scared shitty of them. He has asked me to go to the range for practice. I'm scared to do that but I think it is something we could do as a family. (Sickening, huh) In my heart of hearts I'd l...

I thought I would start keeping some thoughts in my DU journal. I'm not a big one for posting threads. I usually make comments and move on. I never have 'chatted' back and forth with anyone. I'm not sure how. I'm scared of the unfamilure. Now, i will see if this actually shows up on my journal page.
