This past week has been amazing. I've fully moved into my dorm(minus a few posters that are on the way), made friends, and explored the area where I now live. I've been enjoying the company of my floormates and classmates and the amazing view from my room(particularly at sunset). I've found those who say that NYU doesn't have a "community" do not know what they're talking about(what other school has a mascot, "Housie", for residential life? no joke) and that walking 6 blocks to class isn't a bad...

I know, I know. It's been a long time(other than a picture thread, lol). I've been swamped with moving preparations. I don't think I realized how hard moving across the country would be! As I type this there is an empty box in my bedroom floor waiting to be packed and addressed. As some of you know, I've recently been working on finishing up my first "full-length" documentary. This project was a two person project(my brother was a huge help with planning our filming trips and took still photography for the film) and self funded. It was a hard and at times incredibly frustrating experience, but sitting down with each of these veterans and listening to their stories inspired me to keep going. This is video that I edited for the Alabama Democratic Party. It was shown to the Alabama Delegation during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. I made a short intro, and then the remaining part of the video is the "I Have a Dream" speech in full.
