I love Thanksgiving. My family is filled with passionate people, and I am no exception to that. We've been known to heavily debate politics, religion, and philosophy(my Mom and I argued about free will just the other night, lol). When you gather a group of passionate people together under the same roof they are likely to clash at some point. Imagine Thanksgiving with our family! My PaPa once said that we all argue "just to hear our heads rattle." Maybe he's right. However, those debates always make us closer, and we love each other with the same passion we debate with.
We never have left overs for long, lol. My Mom is from a family with 7 kids and she has 5 kids herself. I have 5 cousins, and my great grandfather and great uncle both always join us for Thanksgiving along with my second cousin(who is actually close to my age so she's like a cousin) and her husband and little girl, and another of my other second cousins and her husband and son. We always have a house full on Thanksgiving. I love it! The loudness from the kitchen, the nonstop murmur of everyone talking to each other, the busyness of it all, the kids running around outside while we work on getting thing set up inside, and how the living room becomes a big family think tank where we talk about just about anything we can think of and propose our solutions to today's problems, lol. It's my favorite holiday of the year!
