What will Angela's fate be?
Will Agent van Alden repent?
Will Richard kill all the d'Allessios (name?)
and WHAT will Margaret do?
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
That drinking 1/2 your weight in ounces of water (i.e., 140 lbs = 140 oz) will help you lose weight?
That's how much I would have to drink. That's 1.09375 gallons. No freakin' way.
My printer was working just fine yesterday.
I went to lunch.
I came back. My printer had been moved about two inches. I could tell because things around it had been moved.
It now makes a godawful racket and the prints are illegible.
No one in IT knows of anyone who visited my desk between 1:30 - 2:30 yesterday. My cow-irkers saw no one. No one who's on this printer even used it while I was at lunch.
Maybe I'm being paranoid but I feel like someone sabotaged my printer.
Weird.
Oh - and...
a warehouse-type or other manual labor type job? Is monster.com relevant to anything anymore? Are there better sites out there?
Thanks
Moosh is the cat. Jerry and "the boy" is my nephew. "The girl" is my niece.
It FLEW. Seriously. First, it was hiding behind the empty Arrowhead bottles and Moosh was terrorizing it. We got both cats into my room and closed the door. Jerry put on his work gloves and began rescue efforts. It went under the tv stand, then under the couch, then up the back of the couch, then back under. Then it ran to the bathroom. Jerry went in and closed the door, and we blocked the space under the door ...

Please, let's not turn this into a debate or a vent session on health insurance, okay?
She's 22 and does not work (seriously emotionally disabled). Her mom supports three people on one salary and just said to me, "I gotta get that girl some insurance." I thought to myself, "How?! You're fooling yourself."
I once heard of an insurance plan specifically for young low-income adults. Does anyone know about that?
I'm still looking for CA state stuff. I had a thread on this a few weeks ago and ...

We're going to Tennessee next week. Using Google Mail, I just emailed my pet-sitting company to tell them about a behavioral problem one of my cats has.
In reading their reply, I noticed that the "related link" Google chose for me is "Too Many Cats," a cafepress site.
Google is too smart! It's going to take over the world, I swear it!

And she's right! I'm a hypochondriac and a big baby. It is muscle spasms.
:eyes: <- at self.
And how does one play?
I used to work at a Christian radio show called Insight for Living. I opened mail by hand in a room with nine or ten other women. It was a fun job, as we all sat around this huge table all day and socialized. I really liked the job. Good people.
Naturally a lot of the mail was donation checks or checks in payment for Bible study supplies. I used to keep a list of the absurd and hilarious names that crossed my desk on these checks. Alas, the list is long, long gone but one of the names stays wit...
WOW! This is so cool . . .
Is there a good satellite image of your abode somewhere on the intertubes?
I know why. It's because I've been so unsettled, and sometimes really sad, for many weeks. Looking for something to fill some space that seems lacking. It's usually food, but sometimes I think that only a kitten would fill the bill.
Don't tell Mrs. V.
:) It's rare. Feels good.
Do you have a boss? Does he/she thank you?
peed on the . . . stove.
:wtf:
Rat Face has some problems. . . .
I had a boss who dressed as a pig for halloween. She wore a pig nose and pig ears, and pink sweats. On the front of the sweat shirt, in two rows, she had sewn eight baby bottle nipples.
I wanna be a pig. I can't afford to create such a get-up, but it sure is fun to think about it.
How about you?

Not too long ago, there was a small furor in the local media about a major disaster at The State's Technology Services Division. The details were a bit sketchy – mostly because The State was “unable to comment on an ongoing investigation” – but what was reported was that, for two full days, employees of The State were unable to logon to their computers or access email, and that this caused business within The State to grind to a halt.
As the “investigation” carried on, the media lost i...

She took today off because "the face cancer," as we jokingly call it, is bad, worse than it's ever been. I don't know if she's ever taken a full day off just for the face cancer.
She finally broke down and asked for narcotics. She hates narcotics. The best drug she's tried was on its way to ruining her liver. Jesus fucking christ . . .
She's not at the end of her rope yet, because she has yet to see a surgeon or radiologist. There are several surg...
This in email from our young houseguest who found the offended document covered in cat hork.
:(
Tomorrow our little Rat Face will have the splint removed from her foot! :woohoo:
We got word of this yesterday when the head veterinarian reviewed her x-rays. Last night we took off her jaunty little hat, and she perked right up. After bathing for an hour, she was ready to play!
Thanks to everyone who pitched in and to everyone who offered good wishes and vibes and support. You all made it a little easier to bear.
:woohoo:
I listen to XM radio. Usually the Coffee House channel. Two of the songs currently on that channel are "Modern World" by David Wilcox and "A Theory" by Tracy Chapman. Is either of these songs playing on broadcast radio? Or are they popular downloads?
There are great songs on that channel -- better songs, moving and unique (which these are not) -- but these two are current earworms.
What's currently popular? What kind of radio stations are there out there (oldies, hip hop, metal, etc.)? ...
and I don't know why. We weren't hurt. Dealing with the repairs isn't so stressful (yet; we only just got the estimate on the 24th). Had a scary episode last night with some prick coming out of VA, again, on the beltway. I cried almost all the way home after that.
I'm in a funk. I'm blue and weepy. The smallest things make me cry. Mrs. V. is worried. Well, I don't know that for sure; she's said nothing. But she knows something's wrong.

At first I called her she, but now I think it's a he. He's a fluffy tuxie with a little white 'stache. No pics yet.
My sister says they come to us by word of meowth.
Edit: This is not a new indoor cat for us. This is an abandoned housecat who made his way to us, where he can get food, water, and warm shelter. Our garage holds more than the car.
COROLLA! WOO HOO! :woohoo: :woohoo:
This happened last night on the Capital Beltway in Maryland. The big-ass truck didn't see us. He smacked our left rear bumper and spun us so that we were glued to his grill. Across three lanes of traffic for god knows how far, we were pushed sideways. There was a huge truck grill at my left shoulder right outside the door. I'll never get the smell of burning rubber out of my memory. I'll always remember the sounds: bang, crunch, crash, squeal, crash, crun...
