On Lou Dobbs show, the poll question was, and still is, "Are you surprised to find that paying Americans decent wages actually improves rather than hurts the economy?" Now I am not an economist, but it should be obvious to anyone with half a friggin' brain that if people make more money at work, they will spend more outside of work.
