My mom ,who has heart failure, will soon have to put her dog Spotty to sleep. The dog a dachshund, has cancer. He had surgery about 6 months ago and was told he had 3-4 months left. Its real hard for her. My wife said she would take the dog when its time. Afraid it will be this weekend. Please send the famous DU vibes and prayers this way for my mom in coping with this sad outcome.

We brought Moola in from the street. She was a stray. She seemed to appear like an angel right after Freckles our pekingese died. She was a funny cat and very affectionate. She would sit on my laptop whenever I would open it up around her. She would curl up in my arm in bed. She always had a great appetite. She loved to watch tv and play with a laser pointer. She had green eyes that would break your heart whenever she looked at you. She ended up being more my cat than my wifes. About 2 months ago she hurt her hips and shoulders going down the stairs. I nursed her back, she never got her appetite back. I was hand feeding her ever since. She's been on thyroid medication and receiving fluids for about 1 year. Two days ago, she just was acting different, soon she couldn't stand on her own. Today I fed her at 5am. Three hours later she began having a hard time breathing. Two hours later she died in her sleep. She will be greatly missed. Please think of her today.
