The right wing view is that there's plenty to go around, damage to the environment is vastly exaggerated and global warming is a myth.

It comes from listening to too much Limbaugh. But Limbaugh dismisses anything the left pays attention to.

For instance, I remember about 10 years ago when Limbaugh announced he got a new computer. He made a big deal out of the fact that he found the EnerStar options on his PC and when he realized what they were, he disabled them all, so now his PC was using the full amount of power all the time.

Now, I'm sure he mentioned this just to get a rise out of us lefties (and all others who care about their power consumption) but it shows you the mentality here.
