You keep avoiding this question:

How outraged were you at what federal officials did at the Waco massacre? Did you demand Clinton condemn his ATF agents? Did you quote section 1983 then to justify your outrage at the violation of David Korish and the Branch Davidians' civil rights by Clinton's ATF? 76 people (24 of them British nationals) died in the fire, including more than 20 children, two pregnant women, and the sect leader David Koresh. Aren't you outraged at that?

People are making a stink.

Police use of pepper spray on a dozen protesters at University of California, Davis, on Friday sparked calls for the resignation of the university’s chancellor and the start of an investigation into the incident.

Videos of the Davis incident uploaded to YouTube show police officers dousing the protesters — mostly students, according to local reports — with orange pepper spray, after repeatedly asking them to disperse from the main quad on campus. The protesters were seated with their arms linked on a sidewalk.

Eyewitnesses uploaded their recordings late Friday. In a statement on Saturday that acknowledged the role of the eyewitnesses in raising awareness about the police’s behavior, the university’s chancellor, Linda P.B. Katehi, said she was saddened by “the events.”

“The use of pepper spray as shown on the video is chilling to us all and raises many questions about how best to handle situations like this,” Ms. Katehi wrote. Her statement said that she was forming a task force and asking university officials to review existing policies about encampments like the one that was erected on the campus this week.

As the article points out, the police version of events is contrary to what actually happened.

I agree with you about the brutality. I can tell you that the incidents are not the norm. I heard and read that one NYPD police chief who was caught on video doing shit has been reassigned to the Big Apple equivalent of Siberia aka. Staten Island. Catching them in the act and going to the media is key to retribution.

Have you been down at OWS NYC? I have. There is zero reason for President Obama to get involved personally. Once he gets involved, OWS becomes a political football instead of a people's movement.

As for OWS, Team Obama presaged their views and earned Wall Street's emnity for it:

"SOMEONE" should try joining OFA and working their allegedly Democratic ass off like OH Obama supporters have been instead of baselessly and bitterly complaining about President Obama ad nauseum because they don't like the way the 2008 election cycle turned out.

Funny how Clintonians weren't complaining about superdelegates when 99% of them were backing Hillary.

On Wednesday it was reported that President Obama was drafting an executive order that would require companies pursuing federal contracts to disclose political contributions that have been secret under the Citizen’s United ruling. A senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, Hans A. von Spakovsky, lambasted the proposed executive order saying that, “The draft order tries to interfere with the First Amendment rights of contractors.” Mr. von Spakovsky dutifully made all the right-wing, neo-con arguments including bringing Planned Parenthood and unions into the discussion. The draft order did not exempt any entity from disclosure rules and presents a reasonable requirement on contractors seeking government contracts. Several states have similar “pay to play” laws to prevent businesses from using unlimited donations to buy lucrative state contracts from slimy legislators... The real objection Republicans and the Heritage Foundation have with the order is that it removes the possibility of corporate money influencing government more than it already does. The Citizens’ United ruling was a gift to Republicans who do the bidding of corporations in exchange for campaign contributions and it became obvious after reports that two Supreme Court Justices attended a secret Koch Industries strategy meeting prior to voting to extend free speech rights to corporations just in time for the 2010 midterm campaigns.

~ Dow back above 12,000 mark as all three markets rise
~ S&P 500 and Nasdaq indexes both jump four per cent
~ Dow is on pace for its biggest monthly gain in history
~ U.S. economy grew since July at fastest rate in a year

... reports on the U.S. economy have improved... The economy grew at a 2.5 per cent annual rate from July through September on stronger consumer spending and business investment. That nearly doubled the economy's 1.3 per cent growth in the earlier quarter and helps calm worries about another pending recession.

Gallup Finds Significant Drop in Unemployment During October Unemployment, without seasonal adjustment, fell to 8.3% in the 30 days ending Oct. 23

Gallup is documenting a clear decline in unemployment and underemployment during October. Modeling based on statistical comparisons of Gallup's unemployment data to the government's seasonally adjusted data over time suggests that the Bureau of Labor Statistics could report an October unemployment rate of less than 9.0% on the first Friday in November.

She's been a great friend of Barack Obama's since university days and has nothing but good things to say about him.

Oh, and she's against marijuana legalization, too.
