Hey Everyone,

Just thought this would be a good place to share a very exciting project I've developed over the past two years, which is now really starting to take off. (woot!)

GlobalGayLodging.com is an online Gay and Lesbian Friendly Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts Directory with over 8,000 listings from countries all over the world. We list for free any hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, campground, villa, guest house, resort or other vacation rental property that declares itself to be Gay Friendly (or Gay Owned). We also sell very cheap premium listings to help keep the site open, and we've had a few signups for those too.

If anyone knows of a place that should be included, but isn't, have the owners contact us with their listing information (in the format we use) and we'll add them to the directory for free.

The purpose of the directory is to encourage tolerance and understanding for all people worldwide through the promotion of safe and welcoming travel experiences. We look forward to people's comments and suggestions (and maybe even links to us from your blogs and web sites). There is a contact form on the site through which we can be reached. We're trying to make this into a real community-supported project, so everyone's input is greatly appreciated. You can "Like" us on Facebook too, if you want to be extra supportive. Thanks!!

Hello fellow DU business folks. I've been working with a company recently and I wanted to share what they do with the community because business telephone systems have evolved dramatically over the past decade, and it's now possible to get amazing functionality from virtually free components, most of which are open source. BandTel, from my old stomping grounds of Laconia NH (and LA, but the real dudes are in Laconia), is a world leader in providing SIP Trunking and Asterisk PBX services to businesses of all sizes. If you have to have phone numbers, especially 800 numbers, that need to work from other countries, and you don't want to pay a crazy fortune, they're your guys. Asterisk PBX is an open source PBX which gives you functionality that previously was VERY expensive. Plain Old Telephone Service has been bypassed by Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones because of the vast differences in cost.

Check BandTel out if you have expensive phone systems and are looking for alternatives. There are other companies as well that compete with them, like Bandwidth.com, so shop around and get the best deal, but I like them personally so I give them my recommendation.

I think I found a good place to get Balsa Wood for model airplanes and boats, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone's had any experience with them. They seem ok, but I always like to ask. There's a lot to know in this area. Some of these kits are crazy.

Hello everybody. This is my first post to this topic.

I'm surprised that there isn't a "Green Energy" and/or "Green Jobs" topic. How can we go about creating one?

I'm writing to tell you about our new non-profit organization, the Adminicus Green Jobs Consortium. We are dedicated to promoting green energy and green jobs, particularly through the development of deep-earth, closed-loop, geothermal electric generation stations. Central to our overall investment plan is using some of the power generated by this plant to drive a high-speed MagLev train, similar to the one in Shanghai. This would both stimulate economic development along the rail line, and also serve as a high-voltage transport corridor for the electricity itself.

If you support these goals, become a free member of our consortium and give us a "Like" on Facebook.

Thanks, and I look forward to fielding any questions people may have about our organization or its goals.

Hey everyone, I figured that this would be a good place to put a post about this topic, since we've been discussing ways to make money as a freelance copywriter, especially I've been talking about freelance SEO copywriting, and I've got some opportunities that I'm recruiting for.

One such project is a news and opinion web site project similar to BlogosaurusStampede.com. For example, our article about the Three Little Pigs Diagram got a lot of attention and came up #1 on Google, along with our Breaking News DU post, until the moderator moved it out to never-never land. Too bad the archive feature is unavailable on DU right now. It kills a giant ton of excellent content that members work hard to produce, so I don't understand the philosophy of it not being important, because it would bring DU a lot more traffic, from SEO keywords, then they can even imagine. Moving the story killed a lot of traffic that was going to DU, because my post about the article was either right above or right below the article at the very top of the Google results, and not the blog results either, the "everything" results.

But I digress...

Please contact me if you're an aspiring journalist with an opinionated axe to grind who wants long hours at low pay working from home... wait, actually the pay is low, to start, but the hours are pretty flexible and only really amount to about 4 - 5 per day, working from home or wherever you want, at your own schedule.

There are very good incentive mechanisms built into our programs such that if you really ARE a good writer, and can turn an audience into a following, the rewards can be substantial indeed.

So if this sounds appealing, or at least intriguing, to anyone out there, contact me via my seo company web site.

We've been up for a month, and we've already gotten over nine hundred original articles posted and ranking highly in the search engines. We approach the news with humor, perspective and analysis, and most of the time it's pretty funny too.

Everyone please check out our new Online Newspaper (blog):

BlogosaurusStampede.com

Love to get people's feedback. We've never tried this before, but it's going pretty good so far.
