I had put a bag of garbage out there (just outside my door) earlier instead of walking it over to the storage bin, and I found two raccoons a couple of hours ago tearing into it. They didn't get very far before I went out and retrieved the bag and brought it inside. Then I started feeling guilty. There were two cooked chicken breasts in there that I figured they could have. I picked them out and tossed them out the door (in a plastic bag). A while later they were still there so I thought they had left so I pitched them off the roof to the alley below, figured they'd get them there. Then I saw the poor things out on the roof, still here, going after two eggshells - the whole haul from the garbage bag. I had sent the chicken out of reach. So I went to the frig and got out 3 veal parmigiana that had been in there for a week. I decided I could live without them. So I threw them out and watched them get into the polystyrene container & dine. Then I threw out one, then another bag of trail mix. For dessert like. Am I crazy? I have to say it has been fun.
