Don't blame Russia and China for this.. The united states of america have played the game. And they have played the game pretty bad if I have to say it too.. The current administration have not making friends, rather adversaries. And China and Russia have just played the same game.. And if US really want to do, as the OP want us to believe, the world would be a much more dangerous place after this...
It is in many cases the 1908, or the 1930s all over again. And this time We can do the right thing.. We have the collective learning from 1914 and 1939... And we know what happened in both this world Wars... As many of us se it, this Administration WANT a war with Iran, as in Iraq and in Afghanistan. They don't care if the american public was 99.99 against a new war.. They don't care if the public was going to the street in the millions.. They want a new war, to get it, as they want it... Marshal Law is just one of the things the public could be worried by I guess... A war with no end in sight is something US, with is bad economy and lets say it, as it is low moral standing in the aye of the world should not do at this moment...
It may end in a american style of nazism, if the economy are going down the tube. In bad times, the nationalism of people can do great harm... And it was the horrible situation who brought Adolph Hitler to the power, even if he just get 37.8 of the public wote... But because he was the _only_ party who was not corrupt (as it look at the outside) and that Papen en Co have played the old Hindenburg for games, and promised that they could take care of Hitler, if he was to have to have to high planes for the future.. Little as Cato the elder, who say when Octavian was winning the civil war in Rom. Praise him, and then kick him upside so the grown up could take the power... But as we know, neither Octavian, or Hitler wanted it that way, and very effective screw the old powers... Not that I say Octavian was the same as Hitler, not by far...
World domination, by hegemony, and control over the worlds wealth is a dead end game. Because in fact the world would not last, if the big powers would try to do it.. No nation have managed that... No nation... The opposite forces would be to big... And in the history of the world, many country have managed to dominate parts of the world, for centuries. But never as some believe today, forrever... I would not do in 1914 or in 1939. And it would not work in the future.. That is a fact...
