As I know about it, it was 4 F16 from the Norwegian Air force who was stationed in US, as a part of NATO response team to protect US City's after 9/11... Article 5 in the NATO treaty.. One for all, all for one... Many know about it, even that it was not exactly been published by the news paper..

But I guess that is not the case anymore, now as US are inbolded in a war they have no clue to get out of.. And if it goes as some fear, US would have more than enough when the war is over to get their army into shape again to help their Allies on the other side of the pound anyway...
