During last night's episode of LOST, there was another fake commercial for the Hanso Foundation. This ad ended with the address of a new Hanso website called
http://letyourcompassguideyou.com which comes up with a screen that looks like this:

The compass pointer spins around pointing at your cursor, but not much else. Until you put your cursor about one centimeter under the E. The this overlay screen pops up:

What are those numbers? Well, it's the values of tan(x). Except for 90 and 270 degrees, the values of tan90 and tan270 don't exist as they're asymptotes. Anyway, the tan(x) function gives you a graph like:

When you click the screen in this region, you get a text box to pop up like so:

When it asks the question, if you type N, you get forwarded to the Hanso website. If you type Y you get a new directory screen:

Most of these links are dead ends, but some do pull up some useful things, but it appears as though this is a stupid tie in with Jeep, as it ends up looking as though it's all about Jeep Compass ads! But, lets get back to those compass directions and trig functions. Maybe they're coordinates?
To hold the overlay screen, your cursor must be sitting at about where 108 (-3.077) is. 108 E 3.77 S is in western Indonesia in the Java Sea just south of the Belitung group of Islands. What's more, the string of DI9FFTR731 is placed between 108 and 144 degrees. Apparently after some googling, DI9FFTR731 is stamped on all of the generic Dharma Initiative food boxes. This may indicate that the island is located between these coordinates. 144 E 0.72 S is located near the Ninigo Group, just north of Papua New Guinea.

So.... I think the LOST-aways are in Indonesia, either around the Belitung Group or the Ninigo Group, or possibly somewhere between those islands groups.
Am I on to something here, or am I over-analyzing?
