Occupy DU2 protestors vow not to willingly leave the encampment they've assembled in the hopes that Mayor Skinner will do the opposite of what New York City Mayor Bloomberg did to NYC's Occupy protesters.

Rumors have circulated on the internet as to whether the so-called obsolete site, which has a new version at DemocraticUnderground.com , will still be operational come the stroke of midnight, January 1, 2012.

Administrators at Democratic Underground, long a refuge for disgruntled Americans who knew George W Bush was clearly not all there and had the presidency handed to him by a suspect ruling by the SCOTUS, have been working on a redesigned DU for years.

Unsure if moderators dressed in riot gear will be sent in to clear out the camp, hundreds of members, sworn to their love of DU2, vow to stay locked arm in arm.

Asked why they demand to be left in the DU2 site, most, like a member named Mabus, simply say nothing else is like DU2. Others stated that they feel it's uncertain what will happen. A member named Raine said, "I don't believe anyone knows anything for sure".

What is certain is that Occupy DU2 has some interesting characters in it. When the member called DainBramaged was asked what he wanted to see from the DU2 Occupy group, he simply stated, "MOAR KITTEHS".

One thing about tomorrow, it's always just hours away. So, as the members of this Occupy encampment don't appear to be wanting their slice of the internet to become an archive-only collection of posts, they're hoping Mayor Skinner won't be sending Sheriff EarlG in with the moderators to evict them when 2012 comes at midnight.
