Sample: "Florida all but clinched the Republican presidential nomination for John McCain in January 2008 and state leaders set a similarly early primary for 2012 with the goal of again ensuring outsized influence for Sunshine State Republicans. But political experts increasingly see Florida's Jan. 31 primary as likely a pit stop on a long journey to the nomination rather than the finish line. That could mean a long, bruising intra-party fight before the GOP turns its focus on President Barack Obama, and it could give a leg up to Mitt Romney. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has surged ahead of Romney in many polls, but Romney at this point has the resources and campaign organization best equipped for a protracted campaign in state after state." This would be on it! Thank you.

I do not trust the source, but this, if half true, would be a disaster, as if Canada does this, then everybody will feel they can. There are a number of threads trying to stir up old 2008 hate. Now, I will not apologize for my vote, nor would I make the Hillary folks apologize for theirs, especially as we did come together at the 11th hour. However, let's not be fooled, the only ones who gain from this are the GOP. I will not apologize, nor demand an apology, from any voter that voted democrat in 2008, all I ask is that we remember to vote 2012, because we both know we do NOT want any GOP candidate to win, period.
But since it is revived, allow me to dispel this idea.
They said: One year ago in these pages, we warned that if President Obama continued down his overly partisan road, the nation would be "guaranteed two years of political gridlock at a time when we can ill afford it." The result has been exactly as we predicted: stalemate in Washington, fights over the debt ceiling, an inability to tackle the debt and deficit, and paralysis exacerbating market turmoil and economic decline. Translated from Bullshit: Obama ai'nt moved far enough to the right! If he gave the rich more of what they wanted, he would be able to govwern, by giving the rich what they want! They said: If President Obama were to withdraw, he would put great pressure on the Republicans to come to the table and negotiate—especially if the president singularly focused in the way we have suggested on the economy, job creation, and debt and deficit reduction Translated from Bullshit: Our GOP friends would smell even more Blood in the water, as he would have destroyed his base even more so. And NO NEW TAXES ON THE RICH! They said: By taking himself out of the campaign, he would change the dynamic from who is more to blame—George W. Bush or Barack Obama?—to a more constructive dialogue about our nation's future. Translated: He would accept blame. They said: Not only is Mrs. Clinton better positioned to win in 2012 than Mr. Obama, but she is better positioned to govern if she does. Given her strong public support, she has the ability to step above partisan politics, reach out to Republicans, change the dialogue, and break the gridlock in Washington. Translated from Bullshit: More bipartisan kowtowing! They said: Were Mrs. Clinton to become the Democratic nominee, her argument would almost certainly have to be about reconciliation and about an overarching deal to rein in the federal deficit. She will understand implicitly the need to draw up a bipartisan plan with elements similar to her husband's in the mid-to-late '90s—entitlement reform, reform of the Defense Department, reining in spending, all the while working to preserve the country's social safety net. If I need to translate THAT, you are NOT a liberal. Note, no taxes for the rich, and "entitlement reform." They said: By going down the re-election road and into partisan mode, the president has effectively guaranteed that the remainder of his term will be marred by the resentment and division that have eroded our national identity, common purpose, and most of all, our economic strength. Translated: Gee, not like the GOP has done any of that..and of course, capitulating to them will make less of that, right! And let's not overlook that such a move will be a big giant F U to the left and OWS.

Was about the writer of the piece calling all comic books right wing propaganda, which, as the folks in the Guy Fawkes masks can tell you, is not the case. As bad as Hollywood is, not even all films are right wing, as your countryman James Cameron showed. Yes, he made the terminator, but he made up for it with Avatar, one of the most left wing, anti-miltary movies ever made.
And as far as 911 being a chance to "smarten up", if anything, it dumbed down the whole debate by actually reinforcing violence as the answer. Palestine was close to getting it's own state when that happened. Those who wanted violence got mike time they desperately needed. And last, but far from least, whenever a Canadian kicks the US, I ask two things: "One, when do you think Stephen Harper will actually lose his job." "Two, nice job trying to lay that oil pipeline through North America." and as I do not know if you are a French or English Canadian, I will not ask who your ancestors stole your land from. Granted, we all did a great job of killing First Nations back when we were under English rule, but Canada has that added extra layer where one group of White People (English Protestants) killed another group of White People (the French.) From what the Quebecois that vacation in Florida say, the matter is not settled. This is not to say "USA ain't we great!" As a Puerto Rican, my relationship with my "native land" can be mixed. As Chris Rock, a great Afro-American comedian put it "being from America is like having a relationship with an uncle that molested you, but then afterwords paid for your college." This is to say that people that stick their nose in the air tend to bump it against the roof of reality. Especially when Ottawa is getting it's hands just as dirty.

Once upon a time you dressed so fine You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you ? People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall" You thought they were all kiddin' you You used to laugh about Everybody that was hangin' out Now you don't talk so loud Now you don't seem so proud About having to be scrounging for your next meal.

This author is clueless, because she seems to think that because one billionaire does an easy act of largess it A) denies the suffering her company does as it cuts benefits and B) excuses the other billionaires that simply steal. He is NOT appealing to common sense, but rather to the Fox news types that have seen Unions as a form of communism since day one. He also wants to dispel the idea that common, everyday people, many of whom considered themselves right wing before the Tea party, are finding themselves poor.

In light of the Goose egg Bloomberg has done with OWS, I offer this article as a reminder of exactly what sort of foolishness we are dealing with.
http://www.businessweek.com/management/thr... "Three Types of People to Fire Immediately" It shows how the employees are always to blame, and never the idiots in charge. for example: "We (your authors) teach our children to work hard and never, ever give up. We teach them to be grateful, to be full of wonder, to expect good things to happen, and to search for literal and figurative treasure on every beach, in every room, and in every person. But some day, when the treasure hunt is over, we’ll also teach them to fire people. " "Victims aren’t looking for opportunities; they are looking for problems. Victims can’t innovate. So if you want an innovative team, you simply can’t include victims." "In our experience, we’ve found the link between believing and succeeding incredibly powerful and real. Great leaders understand this. They find and promote believers within their organizations." "If you are a leader who says your mission is to innovate, but you have a staff that houses nonbelievers, you are either a lousy leader or in denial. Which is it? You deserve the staff you get. Terminate the nonbelievers." "In school, the one who knows the most gets the best grades, goes to the best college, and gets the best salary. On the job, the person who can figure things out the quickest is often celebrated. And unfortunately, it is often this smartest, most-seasoned employee who eventually becomes expert in using his or her knowledge to explain why things are impossible rather than possible." In short, keep in the cowards, suckups, and people who smile when you use their hand as the ashtray. Now does what Bloomberg did tonight make sense? Remember this when the right's useful idiots start their sheep bleating.

Of course, Ted is blind to the fact that the enemy WANTS this to be violent as violence is the one thing they are good at. Choice quotes: "As clashes with the authorities intensify, the ridiculous fetish of nonviolence—a faith-based tactic with no more basis in historical fact or reality than creationism—will be forgotten and, one day soon, laughed at." "The Occupy movement can wind up in one of two ways: Failure. Or success, partly via the occasional use of violence and/or the credible threat of violence that results from those sporadic outbursts. First let’s define terms. Vandalism, theft and destruction of property are not violence. Inanimate objects do not suffer. Violence can only be inflicted upon living beings." Sigh. That's right Ted, keep up doing your best to ensure the war machine gets the bloodbath it needs. And keep your cushy job while at it. Ok, let's get this out of the way..it is unlikely either of these clowns will be the GOP candidate, and if they were, it would be the best gift we could have, as they would lose lose lose.
So, why am I still worried? Simple, Romney knows he will need to throw the Tea party some meat. If he was to pick Huntsman, a fellow center-right Mormon, Dixie would be LIVID! No way the power brokers in Tampa will let that happen...so, who does he pick, either Cain or Perry. Now the fun begins, as Romney will, like Obama, be trying to woo the Right wing congress, who will drag him along even HARDER then they do Obama, because they will feel that Romney owes them the moon for being allowed to gnaw their table scraps. In comes the VP, who will have Cheney on speed dial. We will see the VP have influence, because he is the link to the faithful. Romney will become dependent on him, which means he will go even farther to the right. And let's not get into the idea that certain covert types can easily arrange that Mormon to get a heart attack, the sort they cannot fix, unlike Cheney. The GOP will clamor that God had freed them from Barack and "that Mormon from Tax a Choo sets!" If that happens, bring on the four horsemen of of the apocolypse! There are some great Michigan lefties, but I seriously wonder what is up with this state. Are they trying to becomes the Texas of the Midwest?

who goes to downtown, first off, they expect us to put up $50 million in security. We are supposed to gte money from the feds, but keep in mind, this is the state that turned down high speed rail. So we are already looking at a real chance we will lose money AS IS.
As far as the geography, The Tampa convention center is on an island, with has a road, and a trolley on that road. Most of the Hotels are linked to that trolley (the same one the GOP wants to kill the funds for.) What that means is that All the Hotels in Tampa could very well grab the GOP by the (censored) because it would be very easy to choke off access to that center. Add to the fact that there will be a lot of GOP idiots driving their SUVs, and you will have chaos, completely regardless of whether Occupy Tampa is active. Of course, if you make arrangements to be at the hotels closest to the center, than you can ride that trolley all over downtown and laugh at the idiots..did I mention this trolley goes right to the hotel door?, as well as to Ybor city, aka Bar central? You could get drunk as a skunk and NEVER have to drive. BUT, I bring this up to show why the hotels have leverage. The choice of hotel can mean the difference between getting stuck in a madhouse, and not having to drive at ALL. That is why you make contracts, that is also why, if you break contracts, said hotels could charge a LOT more than 170 dollars a bloody room! And let's not even get into what will face people who think they can commute from St. Petersburg or Orlando. They will learn first-hand that, even on a GOOD day, the commute in Central Florida is a nightmare of clogged traffic and lousy parking. Of course, the convention will not be a good day, and if they think that they can even find parking in half an hour, they are fools! If I was a rich man, and this contract fell, imagine OWS getting rooms at the hotel, as they would have a tactical advantage over everyone else. They would not even have to park! Oh well, guess this is what happens when you worship the free market. But of course, we all know that free market means "rule by White Anglo Saxon protestant males who are rich."
