to uphold the USURY interest rates charged by these blatant criminals. Based on the DNCs actions, I believe it is time to change our nation's motto from "In GOD We Trust" to "In GREED We Trust" as our government has become 'OF', 'BY' and 'FOR' the GREEDY, which is anything but GODly. Further, all denominations of US Currency should sport our new motto and Gordon Gekko's image should replace all the Founder's and President's faces on the new bills.

WINTER SOLSTICE December 21st:
The celebration of the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. It is the celebration rebirth of the Sun, which is the promise of spring and life even on this the darkest day. Therefore some consider this the new year. The burning of the log is to give the Sun strength. Mumming (plays) such as "St. George" is a Pagan survival , it represents the rebirth of the God. Wassailing or is also a Pagan custom. The Roman festival of the Solstice was Saturnalia, which lasted from December 17th to the 24th.

The enablers are going to give the criminal perpetrators hundreds of billions of dollars so they survive and thrive to commit other crimes against the American people and the rest of the world. Are WE out of GD minds to allow this kind of gross miscarriage of our economy and financial system to go forward? I can give YOU 750,000,000,001 reasons to fire every single member of Congress in the November elections. I want every member of Congress, wall street and corporate america to rot here with the rest of US, BEFORE they rot in eternal hell. FIRE EVERY MEMBER OF CONGRESS AND LET THE REVOLUTION BEGIN IN THE VOTING BOOTH THIS NOVEMBER; I say: "HELL YA!!!". What say YOU?

FENTON GLASS CLOSING

WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Competition, natural gas prices and consumers with a lack of disposable income have dealt a fatal blow to one of West Virginia's last glassmakers.

Fenton Art Glass President George Fenton announced Thursday that the 102-year-old company will immediately lay off 25 of its 150 employees and cease taking orders at the end of the month. Glassmaking operations will end in September and the company expects to close by the end of October.

Fenton is known for making handcrafted, handpainted art glass. It was able to survive three waves of economic troubles that wiped out what was once a flourishing glass industry in the state.

"Certainly competition plays a role ... the cost of natural gas," said Fenton, whose grandfather started the plant in 1905. Nine family members still work for the company. "I believe the discretionary income for the middle class, where our major market is, is part of the trend."

The company has been trying to restructure the business and develop plans to move forward, but it finally exhausted its options, Fenton said.

"We didn't have any better option than this," he said.

Williamstown Mayor Jean Ford said the company's closure will be devastating for her city, which will lose revenue and jobs.

"Williamstown is Fenton and Fenton is Williamstown," Ford told The Parkersburg News.

"We are sad for ourselves but we feel doubly bad for the employees," Ford told the newspaper.

Ford said she hopes for a miracle that would allow the glassmaking to continue.

"I give them a A for trying," she said. "It isn't as if they didn't work hard at it."

In a 2004 interview with The Associated Press, Fenton said the company sold "color." The most collectible color is Burmese; uranium creates a pale, creamy yellow, while pure gold turns the glass pink. Glassblowers use heat to tease the colors out.

Around 1970, the Fentons developed carnival glass, a distinctive look that marries iridescence with a patterned surface. Some companies had been doing patterns and others had been doing iridescence, but Fenton was the first to combine them.

The company also is famous for hobnail milk glass, the opaque white, bubble-covered product that helped the company survive the Depression. It was produced into the 1980s.

"We are very thankful to the Fentons for committing themselves to the craft of glassmaking and the city of Williamstown for so long," Ford said.

Gov. Joe Manchin said it was a "shame that global market conditions make it so difficult for this company _ and our entire handmade glass industry as a whole _ to compete."

Fenton said a separate gift shop, which is owned by another company, will remain open. Tentative plans call for creating a glassmaking exhibit.

Issues like maintenance intervals, maintenance costs, reliability, performance under load and ride comfort are important.

The complex and fragmented U.S. military budget is hard to understand, even in general terms. We've been dissatisfied with the totals for U.S. military spending one usually sees. Here we present our own analysis.
We conclude that U.S. military spending in the current fiscal year (FY 2006) is between $850 and $900 billion,
significantly more than is usually understood. If the Administration actually spends its proposed FY 2006 budget authority for Iraq and Afghanistan this year, we believe the actual annual growth in total U.S. military
spending from FY 2005 to FY 2006 will be greater than 11%. Total military spending last year was about $7,130 per U.S. household and this year could be $7,600 per U.S. household. If the Administration actually spends its proposed FY 2006 budget authority for Iraq and Afghanistan this year, U.S. military spending will approximately equal, and may even exceed, the sum of all other military spending in the world. We will not know this, however, until sometime in 2007 or later when the final figures for 2006 are in.

I've always wondered what the total USA annual military costs were.........and NOW 'WE' know. pathetic!
