Kathleen Parker names, names and places the blame. I'm guessing this is going to be the repub party line. We'll hear this sort of thing on Scar tomorrow morning and to come...I'll just bet.

Take names. Remember them. The behavior of certain Republicans who call themselves Tea Party conservatives makes them the most destructive posse of misguided "patriots" we've seen in recent memory.

The tick-tock of the debt ceiling debate is too long for this space, but the bottom line is that the Tea Party got too full of itself with help from certain characters whose names you'll want to remember when things go south. They include, among others, media personalities who need no further recognition; a handful of media-created "leaders," including Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips and Tea Party Patriots co-founders Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler; a handful of outside groups who love to hurl ad hominems such as "elite" and "inside the Beltway" when talking about people like Boehner when they are, in fact, the elite (FreedomWorks, Heritage Action, Club for Growth, National Taxpayers Union, Americans for Prosperity); and elected leaders such as Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, head of the Republican Study Committee, and South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, who grandstand and make political assertions and promises that are sheer fantasy.
Meanwhile, freshman congressmen were targeted and pressured by some of the aforementioned groups to vote against Boehner's plan. South Carolina's contingent was so troubled, they repaired to the chapel Thursday to pray and emerged promising to vote no. Why? Not because Jesus told them to, but because they're scared to death that DeMint will "primary" them — find someone in their own party to challenge them.

in a silk suit as a teapartier...Shows me the teaparty is run by the rich, didn't she pay attention to the marketing profile? She should have worn a flag shirt and skirt...or a don't tread on me tee. It looked like there were more people on stage with her than watching.

I was number 483 - that's high for this neighborhood. They said it's been steady all day long. This is a labor neighborhood, mostly retired American Motors and chrysler employees.

I also just saw Ryan on TV...he's been groomed. He's doing his hair different to disguise that widow's peak and letting his beard scrub unshaved. Either he's getting a divorce or he's being groomed for higher office. I haven't heard anything about a divorce.

just did a robocall saying there is an APB out for my State Senator Bob Wirch, ha, ha...if they are pulling out the robocalls and the teabaggers, they know they are losing...I sure hope we can keep enough people in the streets for a long time. Everyone I ran into today asked if I was going to Madison, they were, so every union around here KNOWS it's a threat to them too.

Wasn't it the Republican's that said Privately owned schools being subsidized by the government wouldn't close down public school's but would make them more competitive? So were they lying then or now?

preferably single-payer...then they've committed suicide, because the Repugs will get back in and then they will change their tune and say it's needed to help businesses and they will pass it...that and gay marriage will be how the Repugs get back in and stay in power.

That's what I'm thinkin anyway...

Let's say all this is about oil, the tundra-russian pipeline.

I'm thinking the reason NBC and MSNBC haven't gone completely the way of CNN and Fox is because GE is being left out of the deal.

Does that make any sense?

Was the plan Palin talked about where she took profits from big oil and gave money to every resident of Alaska anything like what Obama proposed with Windfall Profits?

It looks like McCain will do anything to win, he's reversed himself on saying that experience trumps change and if her plan giving $ to the residents of Alaska, well his drill, drill, drill is shown as a con too...rather Obama was right again...
