What seems to be the biggest argument and 90% of the time the only argument against a Public Option is that it is “socialized medicine”.

OMG.......Run! The government is going to check your cholesterol and leverage you cheaper pills for your high cholesterol.

NO! I don’t want that option nor do I want other’s to have it either because that’s my tax dollars going to pay for un-insured person’s life style of fried foods (actually it’s mostly genetic) and addiction to high fructose corn syrup.

Of course, we’ll ALL pay for that person’s emergency care and triple by-pass surgery which I am sure will go over $100,000. See the evil’s of socialized medicine! See the Evils of preventative care! See the evils of the government! Even if it is a representative Democracy!

When I hear a Republican or any elected official against a public option, I want them to voluntarily give up their socialized health plan. I think the people who support them that get government run healthcare, be they in the military or local government, and should also voluntarily give up their socialized healthcare access as well.

At almost every town hall meeting I clearly saw older people who are or will be on Medicare scream out against a public option. Yelling out against socialism, while their part of the group that gets their access and one of the largest chunks of socialist socialized medical care.

Are you people so cynical and greedy that you’re against a socialized public option for the millions of Americans who want to get access to affordable healthcare! The access you receive at discount?

Put your money where your mouth is and drop your government run Public Option and go buy your own on the public market!

Private Health Insurance in our “free market system” is one of the only services that are allowed to drop your coverage or deny you service! Any other company which would treat their customers in this way in a “free market” would go out of business quickly.

Seriously, would you pay for a service that can drop you at any moment?

You have 2 choices in our “free market” 1) hopefully, you find yourself a job with a decent plan, knowing that you can be dropped or denied at any moment for any reason2) Pay for care and medicine out of pocket and pray you stay healthy.

Ask yourself, do we really have affordable options?

Put your money where your mouth is and give American’s who want to purchase affordable healthcare from corporations that can drop you at will when you get ill, in our “free market” real options, instead of supporting a monopoly of a few private insurance corporations.

Stop screaming, posturing, and misleading but act on what you say. If you are against a public option, stop speaking from both sides of your mouth, stand against social security and Medicare instead of using it as a convenient tool to whip up the fear of the elderly.

Ask your Republican representatives or those who are government workers to give up their government run healthcare, if you’re on medicare/medicad or in the military get rid of your socialized healthcare if you are against a public option.
