The Republican motto for this war, "Thieves expoit chaos to steal" that is what this war is all about. Looks like the Republicans are going to end the war with Iraq sooner than the Democrats ever would if they are not careful. Today the House plans on passing the next round of funding for the Republican Iraq War, attached to this bill is a very reasonable time table for ending the war. The Republicans are up in arms about this timetable, showing just how disconnected from the American people they are, they are using some great buzz words like “Micromanage” and “Tying the Hands of the President” and you know what, they are right. Simply put the war must be “Micromanaged” because the last 5 years under the Republicans, the war was not managed at all, so when something goes 5 years with no management, a little micro-management is in order. They are also right about “Tying the hands of the President” for almost the same reason, no one has done any oversight for the last 6 years, he need his hands tied. So the demise of the War in Iraq may be a Republican event, in fact Bush himself may do it. Scenario one, the Republicans have said that if the bill moves to the floor of the Senate with the timetable intact, they will filibuster the bill, killing it, and by doing so, the Republicans will say to the world, “We will not fund the Troops, we will not fund the War”, and the war will be over. Scenario two is even more fun, the bill makes it thought the process and is sent to the White House, the “President” will have to make a choose, fund the war, or don’t. The Republicans can, and from what it sounds like, will defund the war, in short cutting of their own nose, to spite their own faces. Now for this plan to work the Democrats need to stick to the mandate given to them by the people and fight to keep the timetables intact. They also need to pass the war funding and be done with it. Bush and the Republican have one chance to get it done, and if they filibuster it or veto it, the war is over because the bill will not return to the floor of either chamber. The bill dies, the money for Iraq dries up, the Democrats make it clear that they tried but the Republicans were the ones to kill this bill, to use one of their own dirty tricks, “They were for the funding before they were against it” The Republicans are playing chicken with the Democrats, and if they stay strong, the RIGHT decision for Iraq will be made, the War will End, and the Republican will have no one but themselves to blame. http://www.scripturessay.com/q320b.html
BOLDS ARE MINE Matthew 5:17-18 17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Jesus said that he came to fulfill the law and the prophets. The only way Jesus could destroy the prophets would be to prevent the fulfillment of the prophecies concerning himself and the kingdom of God. But to do this would have been to act contrary to his purpose in coming to the earth. Therefore, he did not come to destroy the prophets but to fulfill them, and in fulfilling them, he carried out their predictions concerning himself and the kingdom of God. He fulfilled the law, he fulfilled the types in the law, which had reference to himself and to the church. This was the purpose for coming to the world. Some of the prophecies of the Old Testament concerned Jesus personally. Some of them concerned his work in the church and salvation of souls in the church and in heaven. It was his mission to fulfill personally those prophecies that referred to himself and through the administration of the affairs of the church, to fulfill those prophecies which had reference to the church and its mission in the world. In the book of Hebrews we are told that Jesus came to establish a new and better Covenant because he found fault with the Old Covenant (Hebrews 8 ,8). The Old Covenant, the law, was perfect for the purpose for which it was given, but it was only a temporal law and consequently was not adequate for a universal and a spiritual law. Jesus is drawing a contrast between the law of Moses and the law of the kingdom (the New Testament or New Covenant), showing the superiority of the law of the kingdom, the New Covenant, over the law of Moses, the Old Covenant. You will notice that six times (in Matt. 5) Jesus says "You have heard that it was said," meaning by the old law that certain things were true, "but I say to you." He then contrasts his teachings with the teachings of the Old Covenant. Each time he points out the inadequacy of the law and shows the superiority of the New Covenant. We are to allow the superiority of the New Covenant (the New Testament) to govern our lives today. The Old Covenant (Old Testament) is not binding on man today. Heb. 7:12 “For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also.” Heb. 7:18-19 18* For, on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness 19* (for the Law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. God promised long ago through the prophet Jeremiah 700 years before Christ that a New Covenant was coming. Read Jeremiah 31:31 and following, and then Read Hebrews 8:8-13 where the Hebrew writer quotes from Jeremiah and tells us that the new covenat is the New Testament Heb. 9:15 15* For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16* For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. The apostle Paul also makes this very clear in his writings. consider Colossians 2:14: Colossians 2:14 14* having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Galatians 3:23-25 23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. 24 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. The term "faith" in verse 23 is a reference to the New Testament (Jude 3). The law of Moses was intended by God to "teach" us (tutor, verse 24) about Christ. It was never intended to be used as a spiritual law by which men were to be governed for all time. Verse 25 clearly says (as does the entire book of Hebrews) that we are no longer under the old law (tutor). Therefore, we read the Old Testament to learn how God sees sin, and how he deals with it (1 Cor. 10:1-13), but we are not to use it as a law to govern or guide us today. The old law was nailed to the cross and done away with. This is a very important and significant Bible teaching which many people have missed. Jesus died to establish a new law, the law of the New Testament. We are no longer bound to the laws of the Old Testament. We are not required to do anything stated in the Old Testament that is not repeated by the New Testament. The Ten Commandments were given only to the Jews. It is interesting, however, that 9 of the 10 commandments are restated in the New Testament. The only one that is left out is the command to remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy. Christian's worship on the first day of the week (Acts 20 ) which is the Lord's Day (Rev. 1 ). The many laws and regulations of the Old Testament are of no concern to Christians today except to illustrate the seriousness with which God takes his relationship to His people. We are not to live by these laws.

People out there want to make sure that I am not allowed to adopt, marry, own homes, rent an apartment, work where I am qualified, vacation where I want, participate in government, teach children, council the sick, rescue an animal, nothing…

I have been a wee busy this week with a burst of creativity. Hope you like
![]() and my fav this last month ![]() Hey all,
I wanted to let you know that I have my site for Disabled Gamers up and running. This is kind of a shameless plug, but it has been a lot of hard work and I need to get the community over there started. We over at AbleGamers spend time reaching out to game developers talking about the games and how people with disabilities will play them, we are reaching out to makers of input devices and so on. Please go and chech it out, and if you have a chance, you play games somewhere else and so on, let those sites know as well. Right now we have an interview with the makers of the MMORPG "Pirates of the Burning Seas" ![]() http://ablegamers.com/component/option,com... / Thanks all http://www.ablegamers.com ![]() ![]() BECAUSE SOME HERE ON DU TAKE EVERY THING PERSONALLY, THE STORY BELOW IS REAL, SOME OF THE TERMS I USE ARE NOT 100% PC, I CHOOSE THEM FOR A REASON, AND THAT IS TO PAINT THE PIC OF THE CHANGES IN THE AREA. TONY CALLS HIMSELF A REDNECK, IT IS HIS TERM. IT IS CALLED A LITERARY DEVICE
I live Harpers Ferry WV, it is an odd place because you have a lot of imports (me) that commute into Washington DC to work, and you have the locals. Now I know you have heard a lot of jokes about West VA, and most of them are true, very very true. So last night I was on the phone chatting with my yard man, a late 30's married 2 kids ol' boy, that dips and does yards to make ends meet (He works at the Trek Decking plant near by as a day job). He was kinda afraid to call me, because he was telling me that he had to raise his rates. "Mark, I will understand if you drop me, but I have to raise the price this year, gas is just to high" I knew this was coming, and it was going from $50 to $60, I agreed. I made the comment "Well you should send a personal thank you to Bush, this is his doing..." Now I have spoken to him in the past and knew he was a Bush supporter, most of his type are, RED NECK, HS educated, NASCAR FAN, and so on. You all know the type. He is a great guy, does not really watch the news. He was a single issue voter, the NRA, and hunting. So his response to my comment blew my mind... "George Bush can s*** my balls" I replied, "I thought you were a big Bush fan Tony" "I was, but do you know Mark that he gave that gals name out, you know the gal that worked for the CIA I said, "Yes Tony, you know what that makes him?" and he said in all its glory, "A FUCKING TRAITOR!, and did you know he wants to go to war with Iran now too! I am not sure that he is going to make it to the end, they need to impeach his ass before he sells us to the Muslims..." I mean this guy was mad as hell! I explained that I knew and I am glad to see that the news is filtering down to him. He is just a good ol' red neck, not the church nuts... I share this with you so you can see that the masses are starting to see the light... |
