The U.S. Defense Department is under new pressure to shut down the Guantanamo detention center after three detainees were found hanging in their cells.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the apparent suicides have prompted human rights advocates to call for an immediate shutdown of the prison at the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. http://bignewsnetwork.com

The innocent tortured victims of Bush should be released and the torture house should be reduced in size to hold Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, the real "axis of evil."

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A hacker stole a file containing the names and Social Security numbers of 1,500 people working for the Energy Department's nuclear weapons agency.

But in the incident last September, somewhat similar to recent problems at the Veterans Affairs Department, senior officials were informed only two days ago, officials told a congressional hearing Friday. None of the victims was notified, they said.

The data theft occurred in a computer system at a service center belonging to the National Nuclear Security Administration in Albuquerque, N.M. The file contained information about contract workers throughout the agency's nuclear weapons complex, a department spokesman said.

NNSA Administrator Linton Brooks told a House hearing that he learned of the security breach late last September, but did not inform Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman about it. It had occurred earlier that month. http://www.associatedpress.com

Looks like if the axis of evil Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, can't steal our information one way they will get it another. these cons belong in GITMO.

U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has welcomed the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in a U.S. airstrike in Iraq.

Secretary Rumsfeld says Zarqawi's death is significant because he was not only in charge of the al-Qaida terrorist network in Iraq, but he was also the organization's number three leader worldwide.

"I think arguably, over the last several years, no single person on this planet has had the blood of more innocent men, women and children on his hands than Zarqawi," he said.

Rumsfeld says Zarqawi's

Of course the butcher of Baghdad would say that. pResident Cheney will never leave until he pumps that "sea of oil" dry.

Senator leads panel reviewing White House’s surveillance program

Updated: 7:10 p.m. ET June 7, 2006 http://msnbc.com

WASHINGTON - Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter wants Vice President Dick Cheney to stop trying to influence his committee’s review of the White House’s warrantless surveillance program.

“It is neither pleasant nor easy to raise these issues with the administration of my own party, but I do so because of their importance,” the Pennsylvania Republican wrote Cheney in a three-page letter Tuesday.

Specter complained that Cheney was lobbying other GOP Judiciary Committee members to oppose efforts to subpoena phone company executives. Specter wants to find out what they did to aid the National Security Agency’s controversial surveillance work.

Cheney is probably the one that ordered this unconstitutional act against Americans.

I still can't see how the American public can sit back and take no action against these criminal cooperate cons.

The United States Thursday rejected a North Korean suggestion that a senior American envoy be sent to Pyongyang to discuss North Korea's nuclear program.

The Bush administration said North Korea should instead end its holdout from the Chinese-sponsored six-party talks on the issue.

The Bush administration says the United States is not going to negotiate the nuclear issue bilaterally with North Korea and that if Pyongyang wants to talk, it should return to the six-party negotiations, which have been idle since November. http://bignewsnetwork.com

Must be very discouraging for Bush to be sitting on all these doomsday weapons and not be able to use them. N.K. is like Iran, as soon as they give the chimp everything he wants he will talk it over with them lol.

The United States says it is prepared to join in talks on Iran's nuclear program, if Tehran halts all uranium-enrichment activity.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice announced the policy shift in advance of big-power talks on the issue Thursday in Vienna.

The United States has agreed conditionally to take a direct role in talks with Iran in support of an international effort to persuade Tehran to halt nuclear activities U.S. officials believe are weapons-related. http://bignewsnetwork.com

Another embarassenemt by this phony regime lol. Bush is willing to talk as long as Iran agrees to what he wants before hand lol.

This cooperate con regime is nothing but a blight and embarassement to our Country.

Gone are the days of the great patriots in our government. Gone are the days when our elected officials can look themselves in the mirror and be proud. Gone are the days when we were taught as children that pride was the all important trait that we inherited from our parents and to never relinquish our pride in our selves and in our country.

Then gradually our greatest gift was destroyed slowly, inch by inch, by our government.

They passed laws making bribes to elected officials legal and calling it contributions. To add insult to injury they publish and brag about how many millions of dollars they took in bribes, (contributions).

Well, this is a great country and it has grown to be the greatest and most prosperous nation in the world but we all know that what goes up must come down and I believe the down turn is beginning.

Bush has always had in mind dictatorship. in his campaign for the 2000 election he stated " The job ahead would be much easier for a dictator to accomplish, as long as i'm the dictator." Bush also tried to get rid of "Posse Comatus" until our real military leaders warned him they were sworn to protect America from threats within as well as without. This was a big reason that so many of our real military leaders were fired and retired giving way to the blunering fools we have now for military leadership.

The people of America have always thought of their country as a democracy but in reality all we have is a republic. We do not elect the highest official in our land but the presidential office is decided by a handful of people. As seen in the last election Blackwell of Ohio threw all electoral votes to the republican party even though the state went democrat and changed what should have been a democratic victory.

A Houston jury convicted both Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling, despite the fact that Kenny Boy packed his Bible to the courtroom every day.

Since it is a long and noble Texas tradition for the accused to fight all allegations by finding Jesus, this indicates a major degree of guilt. (While on trial for murder, T. Cullen Davis, the Fort Worth millionaire, not only found Jesus but also threw a big party to celebrate at the mansion, with piles of shrimp and BBQ and a soundtrack that announced over and over throughout the grounds that night, “The son of Stinky Davis has found the son of God.")

Public out cry to change the system to a popular presidential vote has picked up momentem since the 2000 election but the big vote states are afraid of loosing their control. The public has a right to be heard and listened to not ignored by the people that are elected to serve. Serve is the key word here and the public has to take a stand and make these public servents pay attention to the will of the people not just go off on their own personal money seeking schemes. Voting is the only thing that politicians recognise and if they are taught that the public is sick of being ignored they will stand up and listen.

Here in CT we face the problem of senator Liberman (D) running with the Bush crowd and backing every criminal scheme the Bush regime has come up with. These people that are showing favor for Bush so they can get favors like more funds for Israel or harder stands against Moslem people are not representing the public but their own interests. Liberman and some others hold the record for not showing up for critical votes unless it is voting money for their favorite private cause.

Sadly in America the freeist country in the world is not a democracy and has one of the lowest voting records of any free country. Politics can be very boring for the young but we need to incourage them to take interest in their future which is spelled out by our leaders. We need to convince people that their vote does count and hold public officials at all levels responsible. We can't convict public officials for the lies they tell but we can vote them out of public office which amounts to a death sentence for them.

The world has paid a heavy price for American freedom and look how we have abused it and allowed cooperate cons to destroy everything we are supposed to stand for.

If all Americans are equal why do we still lack a justice system that is equal for all Americans including cooperate cons.

I believe Cheney has held the real power since Bush was first placed in office.

Bush is no more than a figurehead that is easily led around by his VP and staff members.

It is still two years plus before we get to choose a new president and until then if these cons and puppets are not brought under control they can still do more great harm to this nation and the world. I really hope and prey that the murder and corruption is stopped before it is to late for America and the rest of the world.
