I finally got some Atlantic Croakers.

We couldn't ever get anyone to answer the phone at old man Campbell's fish market. So, we called Food Lion and talked to the butcher. I love him. They only had two packs of pitiful underground croakers, but it's enough to make up "a mess" to cook.

I couldn't remember if we had corn meal or not. So, I picked up a small bag of it. I was so proud that I thought ahead like that and picked up the bag of corn meal, just in case.

I got home and unloaded the groceries and put everything up. I was down to the Dr Peppers and the 24 pack of water. I brought the Dr Peppers in in my book bag on wheels; no problem there. I thought I'd just carry the 24 pack of water in. Yeah, right. I got it to the front door and my back said, "You are going to rest now, but not before you yelp like a whipped dog, cry like a baby, curl up into a fetal position, and drop to the porch in agony."

So, I rested and then put my Dr Peppers in the cabinet.

While I was doing that, a spider came crawling toward me as fast as he could. I used a paper towel tube to scoop him up to put him outside. On the way to the door, he shot out a web and made way for the floor then to the door of my room.

I flung the front door open and chased him down. By this time, I had my clothes off. It's such a nice warm day today. ALL the neighbors were in their yards soaking up this nice warmth.

So, there I am, with my ass in the air, bent way down with no shirt on saying, "No, you don't! No, you don't! This way! You can't stay in here!" Meanwhile, my aunt was in the living room watching me and laughing her ass off. I asked her what was so funny. She said the neighbors across the street were in their yards. Of course, they wouldn't have known about the spider. All they probably saw was me doing all that all bent over with only my drawers on. I finally got the spider out the door. I never bothered to put on clothes. I figured at that point, it didn't really matter.

I started to finally cook the fish I have been smelling both raw and cooked for the last 3 days now.

Guess what?

I've only got a little bit of cooking oil, not enough to cook the fish. So, we will probably be having chili today.

I want this day to end soon. It has not been good.

Tomorrow, my aunt wants me to go to Wal Mart and pick up her prescription.

I guess you can say: Today hasn't been my day. Tomorrow already looks bad too.

I did get some red, yellow, and orange peppers today. So, maybe the chili will make everything all right. I hope.
