Frankly, I love many things about DU, but the one thing I really love is when a topic of outrage goes viral.

All sorts of posts either defensing or attacking said topic are posted in rapid fire succession.

Usually, but not always, the topic is something that is extremely transitory.

Whether the particular topic offends or not, out come the long knives or the bouquet of flowers; all at once.

The viral off shoot of these posts is the threads about staying focused and not dealing in various transitory outrage that solves nothing. Those are great. As if trying to inject reason to an already emotional trend will fix everything.

Another "offshoot" is what I like to call the "serial" poster. Also known as the OCD poster. This is someone that posts repeatedly on the same topic as if their first 20 posts on said topic wasn't enough. But it certainly was enough to get them banned. LOL

I love DU. I love that we are impassioned. I love that we get outraged over both little and big issues.

Keep it up. Great opinions. Some very insightful (some that even changed this middle aged guys mind) and some down right amusing in their frothy outrage.
