She posed the question of: If Weiner resigns, what does that solve or improve?

My answer and I think the same one she was alluding to: Nothing. The outrage is nothing more then venting of shiny objects crowd spleen.

As if Weiner's quitting will "suddenly" make everyone in congress moral paragons.

Vitter didn't quit. Why should Weiner?

I'm always amused and fascinated by the short attention span in this country.

We need someone to hang on a pike now and then for no apparent reason other than to satisfy some sort of fake moral outrage.

Only to be outraged again when it happens next week to someone else.

And trying the old, "we are better than that!" argument falls flat too. While we Dem's don't fall into the hypocrisy category as the repukes, we have had our share of reps and senators experiencing the same moral failings as theirs. We just take glee at theirs and thump our chest over ours.

You know the old definition of insanity, "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different out come each time".

I think we are experiencing moral insanity. (on both sides of the isle) This shit happens over and over expecting that each time the person will resign and "morality" will reign supreme!

I don't know about you all, but I have yet to see a different out come or change in our elected reps.

Flame away, I don't care. I won't reply. Have fun!
