Kathrine Yurica's excellent article on Dominionism from 2004, The Despoiling of America. It's very detailed and well worth the read.

"Put all the enemies of the Dominionists together, boil them down to liquid and bake them into the one single most highly derided and contaminated individual known to man, and you will have before you an image of the quintessential “liberal”—one of those folks who wants to give liberally to the poor and needy—who desires the welfare and happiness of all Americans—who insists on safety regulations for your protection and who desires the preservation of your values—those damnable people are the folks that must be reduced to powerlessness—or worse: extinction.

Dominionists determine who is among God’s elect—not solely by a religious experience such as being born again, but by a political determination of whether one is a Republican or a Democrat, a liberal or a conservative or simply a person who questions the deeds of Dominionist political figures."

The HuffPo article about Clinton raising the assassination issue has just been updated in the last few minutes with this:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/23/c...

UPDATE: The Obama camp has offered the following response to Sen. Clinton's comments:
"Senator Clinton's statement before the Argus Leader editorial board was unfortunate and has no place in this campaign," said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.

That's all so far. Posting in case anyone missed it.

The SDs need to END THIS SHIT NOW.

I would love for Webb to be VP.

I'm reading the first chapter of his new book 'A Time to Fight: Reclaiming a Fair and Just America'

"And so it is with the Senate chamber. It was conceived and built by ingenious leaders, and we are merely its latest set of temporary occupants, charged with the stewardship of our nation’s standards and its continuity. I will always be a guest here, no matter how long I might remain in the Senate. The Senate floor is and always has been the great arena of our democracy. I spent eight years in my younger life as a boxer, and sometimes when I enter the chamber I think, This is the ring. The American people can see us here, and listen to our arguments. This is where the fights matter."

Reading that paragraph made me think he doesn't view his future as being a "senator for life", but him italicizing those last lines, while titling his book 'A Time to Fight', makes me wonder if he would prefer to stay in the Senate for a while longer?

Has anyone read the full book yet? Does it shed any significant light on his intentions?

In regards to ElBaradei's latest IAEA report on Iran's nuclear program, a cascade of dishonest conclusions have been drawn by US and UK journalists. Am I surprised? Not really, however it still makes me sick to my stomach. The conclusions that have been made in numerous articles have been worded to sound like they're directly from the IAEA report, when in fact the report says no such thing. This is utterly irresponsible. The Guardian, for example, opened with: "Iran has installed 3,000 centrifuges for enriching uranium — enough to begin industrial scale production of nuclear fuel and build a warhead within a year, the UN’s nuclear watchdog reported last night." The IAEA report NEVER mentions a single thing about Iran building a bomb within a year. I strongly advise everybody to read the actual full text of the November IAEA report (pdf).

For a more thorough and clear analysis of the IAEA report and the media's bullshit fabrications, view these sites:
