Lady Gaga is one great singer!
WTF????? LOL. How will the Mummers (a somewhat strange and amusing name) ever take part in parades after this? I guess they'd be welcome at the GOP Convention................... ========== PHILADELPHIA—An anonymous tip led to an undercover prostitution bust at the clubhouse of one of the city's famed Mummers brigades, with two club officials and 11 others arrested amid a clubhouse raid, police said Wednesday. As part of a six-week investigation, undercover officers went Tuesday night to the Downtowners Fancy Brigade, one of the clubs that parades through Philadelphia on New Year's Day, Deputy Commissioner William Blackburn said. The officers were told by a tipster that there were prostitutes at the clubhouse on the second Tuesday of every month. http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles... /
We've got rightwing hate radio, Faux News, crazy evangelicals and moronic republican presidential candidates who inspire hate and violence.... So, I just listen to Lady Gaga and everything is alright... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4rJiTzKBS8...
Oklahoma is such a backwards state. Hee Haw is still a top rated show here.
You may or may not have heard about Rep. Sally Kern's comments on the Oklahoma House Floor while debating SJR15, a measure to do away with affirmative action. For those who are not aware, here are a couple of snippets: “We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that’s tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don’t want to study as hard in school? I taught school for 20 years, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t want to work as hard” Rep. Kern said. “They wanted it given to them.” “Women don't want to work as hard as a man,” Rep. Kern said. ===== Republicans are a trip. That's about all I can say ......
I've always thought republicans were abby-normal! LOL
Study: GOP brains Abby-normal, compared to Dems Link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_theticket/20... Excerpt: Using data from MRI scans, researchers at the University College London found that liberals have a larger anterior cingulate cortex--a gray matter of the brain associated with understanding complexity. Meanwhile, conservatives are more likely to have a larger amygdala, an almond-shaped area that is associated with fear, anxiety and all-round assholiness. We knew it all the time, didn't we?
WARNING: This video will confuse and frighten Tea Baggers. It is highly recommended that Tea Baggers take their Prozac and call Rush Limbaugh or Rand "No blacks at my lunch counter" Paul after watching this video. Side affects my be joy, laughter, fun and happiness - things that republicans are not used to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql-N3F1FhW4

They'll never work. Organized religion can't make money off kindness and common sense.
Amen.
I'm not into violence at all, but right now I feel like slapping a tea bagger ...
You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.
You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.
You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.
You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.
You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.
You didn't get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.
You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.
You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.
You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.
You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.
You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.
You didn't get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.
You didn't get mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich.
You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.
You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all okay with you, but helping other Americans...oh hell no.
This video confuses republicans, LOL
Actually, my dogs are Democrats who vote early and often! LOL!
Realization . . ..
My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. She has her food prepared for her. She can eat whenever she wants, 24/7/365. Her meals are provided at no cost to her. She visits the Dr. once a year for her checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this she pays nothing, and nothing is required of her. She lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than she needs, but she is not required to do any upkeep.
If she makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. She has her choice of luxurious places to sleep. She receives these accommodations absolutely free. She is living like a Queen, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of her costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head, Good Grief, my dog is a republican!
I confronted a rightwinger at (of all places) my Lions Club meeting this morning. The guest speaker was from a charitable foundation here in my town. It's an organization that provides grants to worthwhile charities. This guy caught my attention when he started complaining about taxes. He went too far when he said that "we are now in a climate where considerable tax increases are coming." I asked him to clarify that and he used the term "silly" to describe the current political debate. I asked him straight up if he thinks healthcare and helping the poor is "silly". He replied by talking about how President Carter ruined the military and was a weak President. I jumped all over him for that one. I said "It's ludicrous for you to be bringing up Jimmy Carter in 2009". Then he says, "We'll, I don't mean to bring up politics". I then told him that he came to the wrong place if he wants to talk politics. The club President ended it there. Pretty wild, eh? JL "Fiesty Liberal"

Nature
God has cared for these trees , saved them from drought, disease, avalanches, and a thousand straining, leveling tempests and floods, but he cannot save them from fools.
-- John Muir Spirit

Religion
Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Danbury Baptist Association, CT., Jan. 1, 1802
