America spoke out yesterday in our favor. Americans are ready for a change in direction, and they are ready to make intelligent and meaningful progress. This was a huge victory for us, but are jobs are not done! The middle class now has a representative force in Washington. It is at this very moment that we need to make sure that the people we elected keep their word and start making practical and progressive decisions. I am glad that our Democratic Party has a wide range of liberals and conservatives. The Democratic Party reflects the core of America right now. We gave these candidates our support because they promised us progress. We must now make sure we speak out and let them know that we expect substance , not rhetoric.

I know many of you will be eager to push for many social issues. I agree with most of you on these social issues. However, I still don't think the core of America is ready for that change (unfortunately). We must first make progress on issues that we know America wants (Iraq War, Education, Taxes, Peaceful International Diplomacy, Health-care, etc). If we approach this correctly, and show the American people that we are serious about making and implementing progressive ideas then we can gain the trust of the people once again. It is once we gain this trust and show what are philosophy on government is, that we can start to open minds. Let's go out and practice what we preach.

In the word of Barrack Obama: "Let's get busy"

You fellow American, and DUer
