told to behave like civilized human beings. Imagine a little boy, the apple of his parents' eye, spoiled rotten, never disciplined. Probably puts lit fire-crackers up frogs butts when his parents aren't looking. Now this little boy goes to day care where he isn't treated like a little prince, is just another kid like any other, and is expected to interact civilly with the other children. Suddenly all the rules change for him as he is being told:

"Play nicely.
Don't hit.
Don't kick.
Don't call names.
Stop harassing little Suzie and Neddie.
Don't break things.
Clean up that mess you made.
Share the toys with everybody. They belong to everybody.
Get your hand out of the cookie jar."


That boy is going to be angry and see such demands as unreasonable. He'll throw violent, nasty tantrums. That's exactly what our spoiled, privileged, angry white males are experiencing. And they're throwing tantrums. By the way, I'm not talking about all white males. That should be obvious. Just the spoiled, nasty, racist, misogynist, homophobic ones like the one who wrote that email.
