The Bush from the "Fun With War Crimes" satirical series, that is. He's teamed up with an Obama impersonator to welcome visitors to DC -- a new twist on the classic comedy duo with the smart "straight man" and the dumb guy who's always goofing up.
They both work for an event planning company -- it's tough out there for artists with the economy the way it is, and I think these guys are pretty resourceful to find a gig doing political comedy and stand-up. You can tell they're really enjoying th...
Especially if you haven't seen these yet -- a great comedy series to watch, even if you aren't snowed in and tired of those endless TV specials. All the episodes are now online. Terrific job by the cast and crew. Enjoy!

Shot on the streets of Los Angeles before the election. Jim Nieb, the actor portraying Bush, also starred in (Link) , though this time he's wearing prosthetic make up.

Filmed last month, before the election. Fun With War Crimes fans -- this is what Jim Nieb's Dubya looks like with prosthetic make up.
Unexpectedly poignant. "Dubya" is interacting with real people he encounters on the streets of Los Angeles. I think Obama's victory adds an extra meaning to the final scene!
Doesn't show the bit where Jim stops a fight in the liquor store, without breaking character -- but all kinds of unscripted stuff going on.
Please pass on to your friends. Comments and ...
This is it, fellow DUers!
At last -- Dubya and Co. face the tribunal's verdict. With special guest Howie Mandel!
Will they make a deal? Will Governor Arnie intervene? Will George have to eat 3000 live cockroaches? Thanks to the very talented cast and crew of Fun With War Crimes.

... that if they had to pay for health insurance they would have to lay off staff. Or even go bankrupt. So those businesses might not even exist if we didn't have Medicare.
And a woman who works for a certain retail chain in the States told me that she is scared to refuse last-minute schedule changes at the expense of missing important family events, or complain about her supervisor hitting on her, because she is terrified of losing her health care. When I heard this, my first thought was "h...
What we've been waiting for -- it's the moment of truth for our defendants. Exasperated, the judges finally order the Bush Administration injected with truth serum ... with interesting side-effects. Karl gets down! Dick and Rummy satisfy their deepest desires! Georgie finds out which of the kids his parents like best! All this and more from Fun With War Crimes.
Enjoy, fellow DUers! Stay tuned for the finale ... "Judgement Day".

It was all leggy and gawky (typical adolescent!), and its coat was shedding so it was coming off in patches. My first impression was that it had been assembled from bits of other animals! When it saw me, it hightailed it off in the opposite direction, leaping over the tundra. That same summer, I also saw a flock of what I think were sandhill cranes -- a group of them together, and for a second I thought the hummocks in the marsh had come alive and were moving around! Very weird.

Fellow DUers! Hot from the editing room, here's "Surprise Witness" -- the long-awaited 6th episode of "Fun With War Crimes". Iraq veterans confront Dubya and Co. about the war.
See Dick! See Dick lose his head (in a manner of speaking)! See Dick pick a fight with a guy who actually DID lose his head -- and get beaten! See Condi threaten a regime change! See George face his inadequacies as a leader! All those extra flag pins aren't going to help now ...
Great writing, and stellar perfor...
For you, fellow DUers -- here's Episode 5, "That Certain Feeling"
Condi gets her roots ... Dick gets turned on ... Rummy gets naked ... and Dubya gets rebuffed!
More from the folks at (Link)/ -- enjoy!
Some news from my UU friends in Virginia. They say that the song may become an unofficial UU hymn in the future.
There is not much that can be said about this sad situation that hasn't been mentioned upthread by other DUers, but I thought this might comfort people a bit, about how the congregation is coping -- and all the support that is being provided by others in the city.
From a notice sent around by one of the UU leaders, in the district to which the Knoxville and Westside churches belong...

(By the way, various scenes -- including Dick getting intimate with his soul mate -- might make this difficult to watch without getting queasy. Or angry. Click if you dare!)
Dubya minds the baby! Dick struggles with a plumbing problem!
A delightfully-gross take on exactly how Georgie gets those talking points. Oh, and speaking of regurgitation .... maybe the Bushies can swallow it, but will the rest of us?
More great work by the folks at (Link) -- enjoy!
Here's a blooper reel from their Bush.
Yes, the rest of the videos are in production ... and the filmmakers have told me that things will be getting even worse for Georgie and Co., with some unexpected guests!
So stay tuned for the rest of the series -- the new episode will be done in a few days, and they hope to speed up the release schedule during the rest of the summer. The cast and crew really appreciate your interest and enthusiasm!
