The answer is of course gluttony on both accounts. For gluttony's sake our species continues to gobble down fish, knowing that the oceans are dying. For gluttony's sake we insist on packaging every Goddamned thing in plastic inside of more plastic inside of yet more plastic that we carry it home in, all charged on our plastic bank cards that we monitor from our plastic computers while we sip individual portions of water from plastic water bottles.

If we cannot learn to be better neighbors ans companions, may this planet and it's other inhabitants forgive us one day for what we do.

I mean, jeez. Sure, my mom worked all her life and paid taxes but WTF? She has $232 dollars a month in pension from the company she worked for FOR 23 YEARS. What does she need with Social Security with a landfall of cash like that?

My kids? More of the same. Why should I pay for it if one their young, healthy little selves comes down with cancer? They're almost 22! They should have a "nest egg" of about $500,000 or so by now to pay their own damn way and pick themselves up by their own damn bootstraps.

She, with her fellow birthers, will never accept the hard evidence (the actual BC) because it does not fit with their desire for some big CT that will normalize and validate their ragged state of paranoia. Lather, rinse and repeat for Dr. Taitz (she is a dentist) and her fellow anti-vax'ers.

No amount of evidence, independent study or review will find acceptance with the birthers, for they will always say that it was done at the behest of the all-powerful, new, socialist dictator government. Likewise she and her fellow anti-vaccination nutjobs will reject all good science, all evidence, and all independent study if any doctor, researcher, student, university, science department, professor, or any of their spouses, girlfriends, parents, cousins, co-workers, lovers, or pets associated in even the most benign way were ever within 500 yards of any entity that ever received so much as a fountain pen from a pharmaceutical company. And of course the CDC and the WHO are all "in on it" too.
