Reading the posts under LBN 'Bush at 29% approval' there was an amusing post on the 'Freeper meltdown' so I went over to take a gander. (Hey, indulge me, after I post this I gotta clean the house -- Procrastinators 'r us! : ) Here are some choice bits (My comments in parenthesis): Really? You think Jesus would support waging war?
Of course. What a silly question.

(Guess theirs really IS 'Republican Jesus', silly!)

You think Jesus would support waging war?
Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and to God that which is God's."
In other words, He would support the government even in times of war.
(*Emphasis mine, with dropped jaw) ('And Jesus took up a two-edged sword and enlisted in Caesar's army...')

Even Yahweh in the Old Testament told Israel to go out and wage war on it's enemies. In some cases, God rebuked Israel for not wiping out or utterly destroy Israel's enemies. For a Tyrant to just go out and take land, or just wage war for no good reason, I would say God would be against it, but, ( for example , WWII ) to wage war or go out and drive back and destroy enemies like Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Communist, I believe is a " JUST WAR " and honorable war, and a good reason to wage war, to wipe out those like Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Chavez, Communist, any or all of Israel's enemies.
(*emphasis mine*) (Yes, Jesus said "Turn the other... shotgun barrel" and "Blessed art those who would commit genocide, for theirs is all the gold thy can eat")

If you don't like the latest "poll," wait 15 minutes.
Yep. Polling organizations are just running these polls on almost a daily basis. They want to depress GOP voter turnout, as do many on FR.
If they don't succeed in putting the Dems in the majority in one House of Congress, look for them to figure out a way to try to drive Bush down into the teens.
(Durn Librul MSM! Durn FR posters! Oh, wait...)

Even if it's 10% off, he is at 32% approval. If it's 20% off, it's 35% approval.
Amen. Anytime one doubts that we on the right have just as many blind kneejerks as the left only need read a FR thread in which a poll with bad news is announced. It's ALWAYS discounted as meaningless, while the positive ones are trumpeted from the cyber-rooftops.
(Jon Stewart voice: Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa??? 'Truth' without the 'iness'?!)

It's not the sheer number of people that counts, it's the quality of the people -- oh, wait, we're talking about democracy here -- uh, never mind.

Sidenote: I foresee another fun November 3rd with stunned Rats, leftists, and other assorted media jerks reacting to another unexpected election result.

Of the 1,003 adults polled ....23 of them know , where Iraq is on the map , who the vice -president is , can read at a 10th grade level , have a job, or remember 9-11-01 , and get news from new media . That might put things in a little better perspective , in all these drive by polls .
(How , does , he , know , all , this ?)

They going to get into negative numbers by November, and then people will see their "scientific" polls for what they are.
(Consarned hifalutin' "Science"!)

Nobody believed me .. but they're heading for 25% - or maybe 24% - to prove that Bush got lower numbers than Clinton. ROTFLOL!!
When Clinton left office - his personal approval rating was 25% - I believe Bush's is still at 61%.
(Chock-full of Truthiness!)
********************
How can they all cluster around the same numbers if they are all BS (low 30s)?
Remember back in the 90's, during Clinton's pleasure cruise excursion through our body politic?
Remember how, during loooong stretches of time, his popularity ratings were always in the 60's?
And remember how, as elections approached, the ratings invariably drifted down to the 40's right at election time, only to see them shoot right back up after the elections?
That's how...
(Oh... um. Sure. I get it now. I guess. But... Umm)

when Bush's approval rating is standing at 1% i am going to write another letter to the editor on his behalf. it's the least i can do.
(Call him Mr. Loyal)

i am so sick of these obviously biased, bogus msm polls. everyone knows that at least 90%, maybe even like 110 million percent or everyone on the planet just adores george bush and approves of everything he has ever done, and will do in the future (even if he doesn't do it) and *sigh* why do i bother?
(REALLY Loyal, REALLY Optimistic, or REALLY Banned)

I have to admit with Dems controlling the entire government we would have peace and prosperity again, and all bureaucracies will run perfectly, Dobbs will report that illegals and outsourcing have stopped, the world will love us again, taxes will be raised so entitlements will be a safe bet for our old age, no government workers will be arrested or indicted.
See, all will be well!
(Prolly banned by now, tongue-in-cheek or not!)

Why do you hate America?
(To the man who dared post the article on their site)

Permissive Parent: 71% of children think he is doing a good or excellent job.
Strict Parent: Only 29% of children think he is doing a good or excellent job.
Give the American children a few more years to grow up and parent George will look like a genius
(Yes, parent George did such a fantastic job with his daughters!) (Not an adult to be found in all America. Hear that all you immature little brats? Go to sleep & don't wake up until you think W is a genius! Now get to bed!) Nite all!

last 24 hours. The Mark of a True Dictator
According to Bush and the Republican Party whatever W says is legal, whatever he does is legal, whatever he declares is law; he cannot break the law because he is above the law or better he IS the law.
Bottom line, is that not the template of a Dictator? Obviously the talk of "following the rule of law" and "defending the Constitution" --of which he does neither-- is mere lip service, and the talking points are that Bush needs not ...because he is the Supreme Being, I suppose.
And what about his own daddy, a former head of the CIA, saying (if I remember correctly) that leaking a covert CIA operative was one of the worst forms of treason? What has Poppy said about this entire drama since sonny's cronies are so deeply implicated, and now of course Junior himself? --was that sentiment for everyone except his son?
How many more crimes must this administration commit before the American people demand honor, honesty and transparency in the highest offices? What craziness has people convinced that lying about a BJ so the wife won't find out is infinitely worst than lying to the American people (and indeed the entire world) to preemptively invade a country who had done nothing to us, causing thousands of our soldiers to die and tens-to-hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's deaths? Or creating secret police, secret prisons, advocating torture and breaking our long-standing commitment to the Geneva Conventions? Or the nepotism and rampant cronyism whose almost comical ineptness negatively impacts every single American, through our taxes if not directly? Or no-bid contracts for certain well-connected paisans? Secret meetings where heads of energy corporations dictate the governmental course, of which corps then post incredible profits while the American people pay through the nose. Selling off our federal lands --property of the American people-- to yet more business buddies to exploit? The push to privatize Social Security at the people's cost, to the benefit of Wall Street. Tax cuts for the ultra-rich while the lower and middle class for. Just name any area: Environment, Medicare, Taxes, National Debt, care of the elderly and sick, Election Fraud, American jobs outsourced, the Military-Industrial Complex, more poor in America and lower standards of living for many, Veterans benefits cut at the same time those doing the cutting are exhorting us to "support the troops", College aid cut, recession, repression, Racism, Lying, Cheating, Stealing, Extortion, possibly Murder ...I could go on & on but my fingers are tired.
Perhaps the crown they had waiting for Bush when he "won" the last election should have caused a bit more alarm.
This administration's actions make Clinton look like a bona fide Saint. Oh, but he got a blow job... well that de facto cancels everything out; therefore Bush is (according to the pundits) de jure whiter than snow. It's simple common sense -- just like Intelligent Design.
