DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Democrat John Edwards is giving supporters detailed video instructions on everything to do with Iowa's crucial presidential caucuses right down to bringing snacks to sustain themselves through hours of political maneuvering and setting their television to record the Orange Bowl football game while they're out.
Leaving nothing to chance, Edwards' new seven-minute video is designed to train backers in how to effectively join in Iowa's often-arcane precinct caucuses next month, targeting local leaders to sway wavering voters into the Edwards camp.
The video, titled "The Adventures of Jane and Joe," follows a couple of precinct leaders for Edwards throughout the day of Jan. 3, including describing how Joe sets his television to record the Orange Bowl.
"He won't miss much of the game," the narrator notes.
