Obama. Doesn't trust and faith have to be earned, especially from a Stranger? We hear eloquent words, but IMHO, actions speak much louder. His first important action in the Senate, as part of the Foreign Relations committee was to vote to recommend the war criminal Rice for confirmation as Secy. of State. Add to that his vote to pass FISA.... not a great beginning to Earn my faith and trust.

Then he takes on Rahm as his chief of staff (Progressives were fucked right there), and since then, so many other actions (mostly through his Justice Dept) and non-actions (ignoring single payer, DADT) that have left me cold.

I voted for him. I felt I had no choice, but for the first time in my life, if he doesn't bring positive Change, I will sit out the 2012 election.

The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing that it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder the hate. So it goes. Returning violence for violence multiples violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. Martin Luther King
