Prag's Way Point

Something that's been nagging at me since last Thursday when you pointed out the 32,600 ongoing foreclosures in
one city alone...

First off, the short sightedness of the financial industry never fails to amaze me... That and how -BAD- they are
at math and mathematical concepts. I'll be the first to admit I'm no wiz at math, but, come on! If I can see it
they should be all over it.

The set up to this whole housing fiasco consisted of what the math longhairs like to call a "sorting process".
This sorting process selected 32,600 (I'll call them 'families' because it's homes we're talking about) who had
the desire and some nominal ability to purchase some real estate. Excluding, of course, some small percentage of
speculators. This was a very efficient sorting process due to the fact it was backed up by a huge media push and
incentives of every kind imaginable. Now, those people are being foreclosed on and thanks to the newer draconian
bankruptcy laws they have effectively been removed from the housing market for the foreseeable future. (We're talking
10 years here folks)

So, basically there is no housing market left. They've all been sorted out. After this rush to foreclosure by the
financial smart kids who's left to buy these houses they're holding? Is the plan to rent them back to these masses?
Don't you have to do a credit check to qualify to rent?

Just so I'm clear to these financial wizards... Your plan requires #1 -NEW- people (Not from this sorted set)
#2 People with jobs or -INCOME- which grows over time. (I guess the wizards missed the fact jobs are reduced and
wages are stagnant.) #3 -NEW- People who's -JOBS- are -NEAR- this real estate you're in such a hurry to grab back
(Thanks to energy costs and the lack of alternatives.)

They've killed the Market and now they are seeing rainbows just over the next hill. It isn't going to happen.
Not any time soon and in some areas... NOT.EVER! Oh, yeah... and that NOT.EVER also goes toward that fictionalized
20% return you financial types have come to think you're -entitled- to.

:spits:

I've learned:

1. People will do anything for a potato.
2. Never pass up an opportunity to participate in state sponsored vandalism.
3. 'Schadenfrende' is more than a word, it's a lifestyle choice.
4. LostinVA is a troll.

#8 in a series of highly precise Accusense(tm) Lounge opinion surveys.

If you had a car that was capable of driving you from point A to point B
with little or no input from you, what activity would you enjoy the most
during your new found leisure time?

I just did...

Ack!

But, I can explain! It was dark in the kitchen and there were two containers of
strawberries in the fridge last night!

A midnight snack gone all wrong.

All I really want for Christmas is a "Poorly Written Instruction Translator."
Do you suppose you could get those fine folks over at Google to add one?

I've been mostly good this whole year.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Prag.

P.S. Sorry I'm late with my request, but, it hadn't occurred to me yet.

Vote for your favorite example:

1) ..."the crust of the battery's seat is anode"... ( :ROFLMFAO: )

2) ..."there is only can display any one every time"...

3) ..."In the natural display, when you push the P-U key"...

4) ..."coming into the first grade menu"...

5) ..."press Enter key coming into second grade menu"...

6) ..."Input the content of the text. (input the text newly)"...

7) ..."press P-U all along, the character will roll until you loosen the key-press"...

Or enter an example you've discovered yourself.

These measurements are only 'rule-of-thumb'

Hardware:
- 1 2-gallon plastic container.
- 1 Wire whisk.
- 1 Plastic 'drinking sized' cup.
- 1 Spoon.
- 1 Set of measuring spoons. (English)
- 1 Set of measuring cups. (English)

Delicious Ingredients:
- Copious amounts of fresh (non-yellowed) fluffy snow. (Approximately 2 gallons)
- 2 Cups of sugar.
- 1/2 Cup of Half-and-Half
(Note: Exchanging the Sugar and Half-and-Half with Sweetened Evaporated Milk is
suggested. However, as I'm snowed in... Well, I had to improvise.)
- 4 Tbl-spoons of real Mexican Vanilla.
- 8 Tbl-spoons of Malted Milk Mix.
(Note: Can also use Chocolate Milk Mix. If you prefer chocolate.)
- 2 Large Shots of Irish Cream Liquor. (Your choice here.)

Instructions:
Mix the 'syrup' ingredients above in the drinking cup. Stir together and taste a little
bit to see if the blend is correct. (Remember, the syrup will be much stronger than it's
taste in the final product after it's mixed into the snow.)
Find a large pile of snow in an open area. Scoop a heaping amount into the 2 gallon
container from the top few inches of the pile Mother Nature has provided. Slowly add
the pre-mixed syrup while mixing the snow with the wire whisk. Place the lid on the 2
gallon plastic container and shake it like a 'tossed salad' until the mix looks somewhat
like ice cream. It'll be much more fluffy and crystalline than regular ice cream. Shake
and stir the mixture until it has a uniform color slightly lighter than the syrup mixture
had.

Taste with spoon. Adjust any tastes to your preference and re-mix.

Dig out a big old bowl and enjoy!

It's time again to choose signs and countersigns in the 'War on Christmas'...

Last year I used 'May the Force be with you' as my Holiday saying.

This year, I'm thinking of going more traditional... It's "Season's Greetings" for me!

I'm not fixed on it, tho.

Suggestions?

Turns out, it only really works on certain select products and services...

Outside of that narrow range of products it costs the same or more to produce
a product overseas.

Looks like these 'Free Market Libertarians' are getting a dose of their own
medicine. In that after they educate, build infrastructure, and pay-off the
local authorities they might as well be home paying taxes. Sort of ironic.

Oh, yeah... and now many of these foreign labor groups are going Union.
