It's pretty evident from the videos, but I did several interviews today with people who confirmed this.

That's pretty rare. Usually it is the rank and file cops getting all aggressive while the commanders try to keep the peace.

There has also been unconfirmed rumors that more than 100 rank and file cops refused to come to work today in solidarity with the protesters. That would be big if it turns out true.

Either way, it seems as if the rank and file cops are a little sympathetic or in agreement with what the protesters are angry about.
