MIAMI, Florida - In her 88 years, Florence Siegel has learned how to relax: A glass of wine. A copy of The New York Times, if she can wrest it from her husband. Some classical music, preferably Bach. And every night, she lifts a pipe to her lips and smokes marijuana.

Both my grandparents and my elderly step-father would benefit a LOT if they would just toke up a couple of times a day. Hell, they wouldn't even need to smoke, they could just eat it.

CLINTON -- Every fall, the Red Mill Museum here hosts a haunted house. But this year’s "Asylum of Terror," has angered mental health advocates who said the theme perpetuates ugly stereotypes.

The show, which ends today, warns visitors of hopeless, mindless and deranged patients lurking in dark corners ready to lunge.

Yet,not a peep about the silence of the lambs or hannible. Some of these people need to get a grip.

Maybe some of these haunted houses should be rated like movies...PG PG-13 and R.

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. -- The recent seizure of nearly 200 marijuana plants in Summit County cost the county more than 60 man-hours of investigation and $3,000 in investigative costs.

The problem is, the Summit Daily reported Monday, the plants were legal under the state's medical marijuana law.

Quit hassling people growing/using weed and you won't waste so much money and man hours. I am glad,I am glad that it's a waste of money to bust people growing weed. My caregiver keeps accurate records and if he is ever raided, the cops will have to leave with their tails between their legs and no bust.

Pot just needs to be legal in this country.California is goint to vote on legalizing and taxing marijuana. It will save the state, I guarantee it.

I thought I was safe up here in my little flat above my Grandparent's unit..but twice in the last week my Grandmother has climbed these DEEP and LONG stairs to wake me up and scold me about what a mess my apartment is.

Oh well, she gave me until Monday to clean this joint up. It's just cluttered is all.

or a registration on you when you get pulled over. By the time you pay fines, towing, and storage,it will cost over 1,000 to get your car back.

This will be on the ballot next election and there are some people pretty upset about it. Some say it's an obvious attempt to harrass the illegal aliens.

I have a link but the flyer is still downstairs,I'll grab it later and post the link.

But he was my ex's father...one time when he was down getting plaster for his shop he got snowed in at our place. My Ex walked across the room with a loaded bong hit and my ex-inlaw insisted that he take a toke or two. He wasn't going anywhere.....why not? He smokes weed but only when he is getting it from his son.

My freeper mother needs to do a "B" or two and get over things.....

I posted this http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m107... /
and emailed it to her and now she is not happy with me. Guess I better shut up now. That is what I am going to do, is keep my mouth shut and let the chips fall where they may. It just pisses me off, it's ok for conservatives to voice their side but the liberals can't voice their side.

HALSELL, Ala. - Alone in his mobile home off a winding dirt road, Jimmy Tanks heard a commotion at 2:30 a.m. just outside his bedroom window: Somebody was messing with his car.

The 67-year-old railroad retiree grabbed a gun, walked out the back door and confronted not a thief but a repo man and two helpers trying to tow off the Chrysler Sebring. Shots were fired, and Tanks wound up dead, a bullet in his chest.

The man who came to repossess the car, Kenneth Alvin Smith, is awaiting trial on a murder charge in a state considered a Wild West territory even by the standards of an industry that’s largely unregulated nationally. Since Tanks’ death last June, two other repo men from the same company Smith worked for were shot, one fatally.

DENVER - The Rocky Mountain News in Denver will publish its last edition Friday.

Owner E.W. Scripps Co. announced on the newspaper’s Web site Thursday that its search for a buyer for the paper was unsuccessful.

Scripps CEO Rich Boehne said in a statement the newspaper is “a victim of changing times in our industry and huge economic challenges.” Scripps says the paper lost $16 million last year.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29412240 /

Actually, I am not surprised. Why take a paper in your house to make a mess when you can just get online and read all the news you want?

I used to deliver the Rocky when I was a kid. It's kind of sad to see them go. I quit reading the newspaper years ago when the net came around.
