Having heard the original speech that Bush delivered I was unaffected of the specific writing of the speech until I had a chance to truly look over the transcript. To break down the speech into its parts is both simple and completely fractured. To start there are the lip service sections of the speech. In it the wording is best called lip service conciliatory speech. By themselves they fill a mark that was needed to some level, yet fall far short, as this administration has in the past. The pep...

The truth of this is a few points. 1 - Cops get their revenue more by fines through finding crimes to keep their numbers up during cutbacks. They have to get their money somehow and the citizens are the easiest victims to roll for it. 2 - More cops find more crimes - In Akron, Ohio the more cops on the street find excuses to pull people over and look for a secondary reason to be able to bust whoever. The amount of drug-busts in Akron during Quota week are entertaining as the cops pretty much w...

that while he may have at one point had something, he is tired and unwilling to be a real fighter. Soory, I voted for him last election and instead of being a fighter he simpered. Rather than facing attacks he allowed chickenhawks to pain him as a coward. While I agree with much of what John Kerry may be saying he has proven to me that when the chips are down he hesitates. Sorry, I've had one prsident too many who hesitated. That was on 9-11 and I want him fired with that being on the top of th...

The truth. It's so much easier to remember the truth than have to sort lies after all. One thing we should all remember - Progress is not pain free, it hurts to learn a lesson sometimes and we live in a dynamic world. Regression and Stasis are temporary conditions that are part of growth though they never gain much past learning a hard lessons the second or more times around. As we continue to progress toward the future we must remain vigilant from both the potential dangers from our progress a...

I don't understand the need to put people into any kind of position where they are under the control of another. Rather I have to state simply that women and men are equal people who happen to have a few biological differences needed for the species to continue. Viva la difference. The people who want to control a woman's body should learn first to control thier own. There is one simple question we must ask of them. WHY DO YOU WANT TO IMPOSE YOUR VIEWS UPON OTHERS? These people seem to think t...

Sadly far too many republicans seem to be of the opinion of the haves and have nots, that somehow class determines a person's worth and ability to earn a living wage. That people don't deserve a comfortable lifestyle of the security that they might be able to handle an emergency financially or take a vacation without having to do something like skip paying the gas and electrical bill for a month and spend three months paying it back. No person should have the ability to live their dream at the...

The members of the GOP are as much Neo-Cons as those who Franklin termed Pseudo-Christians. They are people who would ignore history thinking that they are somehow better than those who came before them in being able to deceive, distract and fool the people. Yet now they are repeating history, struggling to remain in power as they did after having infiltrated the seats of power. This is not the first nor will it be the last time that those who would deceive and keep us in ignorance. These me...
