A few months ago, I went on a Northern European cruise ship vacation with my parents. Here are the best pics that I took, the sites whose names I remember noted below. Enjoy!

Stockholm, Sweden:

Royal Guard

Helsinki, Finland

St. Petersburg, Russia

Hermitage Museum

Peter the Great's palace:

The actual site/recreation of Rasputin's death

Talinn, Estonia

Copenhagen, Denmark

"Little Mermaid" monument (statue on boulder at water's edge)

Jyllands-Posten office, the Danish newspaper that published the infamous Muhammad cartoons last year

Oslo, Norway

Viking Museum

Me and a (non-freeper) troll

Miscellaneous:

Cruise ship kitchen

Ship exterior

And some NYC meet-up pics:

As some of you know, I'm an aspiring screenwriter. You may also know that I've been working on this one particular screenplay for some time.

Well, the great news is that I FINALLY finished it just now. Literally, five minutes ago.

I'm sending it in for coverage (a review) before I market it, but any changes I make from now on will be very minor. I have all the characters, the plot twists, everything sewn up. My goal was to hit 100 pages, and I actually hit 101 pages, the 101st page only containing the last line of the movie.

Of course, that's the story of my life -- getting in by the skin of my teeth.

I first thought of the story in 2002 and have been working on it ever since. I was sidetracked by a lot of things, but the last six months in particular was when I went all out and totally revamped it, making it the finished product it is right now.

I'm so happy right now, if you couldn't already tell. The only downside is that I have to get to sleep now because I have to go to work in a few hours.

Anyway, just wanted to share. Thanks for listening.

It seems like a lot of the truly brilliant musicians who have influenced music die way too young.

Who's your choice in this category? Mine is Charlie Parker, who died at 35.

I realize my "predicament" is quite insignificant in the large scale of things, particularly in regards to big events that have happened to other DUers recently.

But I was wondering if I could receive some good vibes from my fellow Loungers. As some of you may know, I'm an aspiring screenwriter and have been working on this one screenplay for quite some time.

Currently, I am nearing the end of the (very) final draft. I am only a handful of pages away from my goal and hope to finish it by the end of the month at the latest. This current draft is not the hardest rewrite I've had to do, particularly since I have the vast majority of the script, including the ending, already written.

I just need some vibes for the home stretch and, of course, the possibility of selling it. My primary goal is just to finish it since I've been working on it for so long, and it is one of the main reasons I moved to Los Angeles in the first place.

I'll be moving to NYC in a few months, and finishing this screenplay will be a huge accomplishment even if it doesn't get sold.

So anyway, I hope you can spare some vibes, because I would truly appreciate it. Thanks.
