There is a LOT of turnout and a LOT of excitement. Much more than usual. The weather helps a lot too (67 degrees in January).
More than I remember there are political signs everywhere. Most all are for dems.
I wish I thought to bring a camera but I didn't expect it to be quite that level of activity.
Day and night we get calls from all the campaigns (dem campaigns) and pollsters, to the point where the novelty wears off and it gets annoying. Pollsters are calling even late at night and at the last second - everyone's trying to get the "latest" numbers.
Regardless of whether it's Hillary, Obama, or Edwards, people are just charged up and ready for "change" (to use the keyword from the debates). Republican presence wasn't very high, except for signs for Mitt Romney. I don't think I even saw a Guiliani sign anywhere. Some Huckabees. Dem signs predominate.
I'll prepare for the worst, but I'm hoping for the best. I think it's within reach!!
