The core sense of (white) "elitism" and entitlement - coupled with her oh-so-generous condescension to her "inferiors" - is becoming clearer and clearer under the bright lights of her campaign.

I no longer think for a moment that Hillary's sense of "We" (as in "We the People") is all-inclusive at its root. I once assumed it did, but no longer. I think she regards it as a "favor" ... and that's one of the more noxious remnants of Jim Crow racism. That's the "lesser evil" that was (and is, still) so common in the 'world' of so many that it could rarely be shown to someone who didn't already see it.

I'd say "for shame, Hillary" ... but it'd be hard to find a greater waste of breath.

I think Hillary regards an impending loss of the nomination (eggs she'd already counted) as HUGELY disappointing - but it's WORSE for her that it's a 'black man' to whom she's losing. As a mental exercise, I try to imagine who differently she might feel if it were John Edwards (or Chris Dodd or Joe Biden) instead of Barack Obama ... and it seems clear that SHE regards it as more 'humiliating' to lose out to Obama. Not because she REALLY thinks he's least qualified but because he's (omigod!) black. Indeed, the common pretense that Obama is less qualified even than John Edwards, though rarely mentioned, is obvious even on DU - a specious cover for the toxin of racism.

Fill 'er up?
Justice ...
Justice is the only worship.
Love is the only priest.
Ignorance is the only slavery.
Happiness is the only good.
The time to be happy is now,
The place to be happy is here,
The way to be happy is to make others so.
