While I realize the Olympics are over and everyone else has moved on, I'm still sorting through photos from the past month. It might take a while to catch up and I want to post these pictures of the final hockey game since I risked life and limb to get them. Literally. Don't ask.
Granville St was practically deserted during the game, with islands of people gathered around every bar and restaurant on the street. Not tall enough to see over the crowds, I had to rely on their responses to guess what was going on. The entire city groaned when the US tied the game.

Gold!

Crowds fill the streets as everyone floods out of the bars to celebrate. It got a lot more crowded than this as people poured into the city for the party. They closed the bridge at the far end of the photo because there was too much foot traffic, and buses stopped running downtown because they were getting stranded. The whole city partied for hours.

Please allow us to gloat a little. We'll go back to being unassuming Canadians soon enough.

Not forgetting who our friends are

Cheers,
~Tin
