My grandpa always said, people tell the truth more when they think no one is listening! Obama told the group in San Francisco the truth about his feelings toward rural america. Only one problem, rural america heard about it! Obama has been touting "CHANGE" throughout his campaign and many kept asking "Well, what's he going to change?" It is Obama who does the change, like a chameleon. We don't need your kind of change Obaama. We gave you a pass on Rev. Wright, we gave you a pass on your "BONE-HEADED" real estate venture with Tony Rezko, we gave you a pass on Michelle calling America "REALLY MEAN" and that for the first time in her life she was "PROUD" of this country. We even gave you a pass throwing your grandma under the bus, "just a white person". But, no pass this time Sen. Obama. You just don't get it! It's about the voters, stupid!

And Clinton lied about being shot at when running from the plane to the hanger. However, I see Clinton's issue more or less a fish story going away very soon, also the fact it's being reported Axelrod passed the video to the media gives the public the idea Obama's camp is playing dirty politics topped that off with Axelrod passing the Clinton/Wright photo to the NY Times another play on dirty politics. But, the Wright issue isn't going away. Many politicians believe voters have short memories and will have forgotten this issue in a few months. But, this being an issue of identity politics and anti-american rhetoric along with anti-semitic statements, this will be an issue he can't distance himself from in this election cycle.

fabricate the issues. It just goes to show how they cherry pick, choose sound bites and distort the facts. Are Obama's supporters who are doing these dirty politics a reflection of Obama's Campaign, a reflection of Obama's character and leadership. This is something the public will have to deside upon in the coming months as we see more of the underhanded ways the Obama Campaign will go to win the democratic nomination.

Obama has been caught in several lies during this campaign, most recently when he said he had never heard any of Wright's inflammatory comments before but admitted the next day in his speech that he had. Or when he told an interviewer that Austan Goolsbee had never met with Canadian officials - "didn't happen" were his words - and subsequently a memo surfaced which caused Goolsbee himself to admit the meeting had occurred. The difference is that he is never called to account for these untruths either by the media or his loyalists. Clinton recalled the Bosnia flight as one where she and Chelsea were ordered into the cockpit and told to wear flak jackets, then advised of potential sniper fire on the ground. Her statements are cherrypicked and made to look like monstrous lies. All's fair in politics, but at least admit the possibility that Barack Obama's campaign plays the spin game and shades the truth with the best of them.

I'm not sure if people are keeping up with this issue, one that effects all of us. It looks like Bush is planning on vetoing the foreclosure bill that will help bail out millions of americans due to increased interest rates and the upside down pricing of homes.

My question is I have heard both Obama and Hillary's plans for the foreclosures. I'm not real clear how there plans will work. Does anyone know the specifics of there plans and how they will be implemented?

Also, considering one of these candidates will become commander-in-chief, how quick could they implement there plan? At this point people are in real trouble and need help as soon as possible. We really don't have time to put this problem off any longer. The think-tanks are saying within one more year approximately 30% of all homes will be upside down on there homes due to the interest rates and the dropping prices of homes.

The bill Bush is vetoing is one that the Federal Government proposed would buy out the peoples loans, refinance the loans to lower the interest rates considerably and the homeowner would pay there house payment to the Federal Government. As it is now, many of the mortgage payments have doubled and people just can't afford the payment and are losing there home. Some people may think the government is just bailing out the banks but they really aren't because the banks will lose the interest of the homes. What it's doing is keeping people from losing there homes so they wont be put on the street. Also, it wont strap the government as some people have proposed because people would be making there house payment to the government and these monthly rolling payments go back into the government's budget.

I'm not proposing this be the way to go about buying homes in the future but it's just a short term solution to help millions of americans who are in the process of losing there homes.

I know Hillary will keep fighting on and I keep thinking Florida will come through since she won here. There is 210 delegates at steak and it could make all the difference in the world and Hillary knows it. However, if we (floridians) are left out in august or the delegates aren't seated appropriately I'm planning on trying to get the word out in Florida to the democrats to do a Hillary Clinton "write-in" on the ballots in the General Election. I think if our votes aren't counted and our delegates aren't seated accordingly then we can still vote for Hillary in the GE. We use paper ballots and electronic voting so we get a choice of either one. And, I think it's only fair to Hillary to do a write-in since we aren't being heard in the convention. The other issue here is what to do about all the animosity on DU. I came here from another site thinking I wouldn't have to deal with rabid GOPers but it seems the Obama supporters are just as bad. I will have to say I admire Rodeodance, maybe he/she can take the insults, etc. but for most of us it's too difficult.

When I lived in Arkansas she was part of our community. She was at our fund raisers for AIDS, she was fighting for benefits(state) for partners, we held fund raisers for Bill when he ran for president. She was involved. That's why I am supporting her.

I'd like to encourage the Clinton supporters to call her headquarters in Arlington and call all the states listed on her web site and tell them to speak with Hillary about changing her platform on undocumented people without drivers license to allowing each individual state to make there own decision to allow drivers license. I'm somewhat split on whether an undocumented person should have a drivers license and since I'm sitting on the fence I feel this issue should be left to each state. I've already called all her campaign headquarters and the states and have encouraged them to pass the message to Hillary and her manager. I can understand if some folks don't agree with my stance and that's fine. Hillary supporters come from all walks of life so were a diverse group and I just feel this is one of the many ways Hillary can bring all americans together whether democrats, republicans, or independents, and all other groups. I hope folks will do this for the good of the country and call them as soon as possible. Thanks for taking the time to call and God Bless Everyone.
