a cheap, easily found balun (transformer) to attach the antenna to your converter box or TV. So far this is the best of the three I've tried for my situation.
Here's a quick and dirty drawing of the folded Dipole I made. I based it on the plans given me by an engineer at a local TV station. This antenna can be laid on the floor behind your tv. Mine is in the basement and it works well. I pick up channels 18 through 56. On occasion I can get a distant station (67). I used a 7 ft bamboo pole, and attached the wire with duct tape.  |

Conservatism as practiced by Bush and his true believers is more about pulling back than going forward.
