I thought the recent unraveling of another al-Qaidah plot by the U.S. was commendable. I think the Feds and CIA are doing a great job in that area. They have too anyway. I'm more concerned about domestic terrorism. I haven't forgot about the example of Timothy McVeigh in Oklahoma City 1995. I know the victim's mother has more to do with prosecuting the case than the father. At 17 it would not be much of an issue in any other scenario unless the victim was female. Since the defendant is the wife of Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock, who is a Republican, well, that pretty much tells the story in this political season. The prosecutor should be well prepared to deal with the counter argument that the boy was forced, coached or bribed into saying that he was having sexual relations with the defendant since he was 14-years-old.

It sounds like Tariq Aziz was convicted for associating himself so closely to Saddam's regime. Guilt by association is unacceptable and definitely does not make Aziz a killer.
